Well, what a lovely surprise! Having driven past this place a number of times since opening recently, we decided it was time to give it a try! We called up some family members and off we go, as food is always enjoyed more in numbers! Arriving to the restaurant and we were quickly seated. The atmosphere was nice, with a few other diners scattered around. There was a nice feeling in the room as the wait staff seemed to be paying good attention to all visitors. We started off by ordering a few drinks, with a good selection of beers and wines on the menu, we were soon settled in with a cold drink and ready to eat. I ordered a few nibbles, Sweet Sesame Chicken - This was crispy and sweet, a huge hit with the table. I also ordered the Mixed Sizzle Platter for 2 - and this came with a wonderful array of aromatic snacks! Chicken Tikka, Samosa, Onion Bhaji and a lamb shish kebab. A great start to the meal, these were cooked well and the delicious accompanying sauces were put to good use. Then came the mains, and we had ordered a couple of Butter Chicken dishes as well as some hot fries. These dishes really stood out, as we are big fans of the popular indian dish, and this was apparently one of the best we have ever tried, with a beautiful balance of spices with perfectly cooked chicken. This was then completed with a serving of Pista Kulfi, a type of pistachio ice cream. This was the perfect compliment and ending to the meal. Everything was cooked with passion, and served with a friendly smile. While the restaurant is a little bit out of the way, it is well worth the trip! We will be back, and soon!

Had some awesome curries today for lunch at the Indian Kitchen, blown away by the fantastic food & service for my dad's 60th birthday. I had the mild butter chicken, and he had the hot Beef Vindaloo. Incredible lovely flavour and the server was extremely patient and welcoming as well as the chef appreciating our compliments. We will definitely be back for more dishes in the future! Great quantity and quality of food for price as well as being a nice little spot to stop for lunch. Small carpark but that gives a homely atmosphere and is nice and peaceful even with the traffic on the main road. The Indian music inside is also beautiful to listen to while chatting. 10/10.

Had not realised they had been open for two months. Did a lunch time try out. They had just got their liquor licence. Very nice dining room with nice new fittings. Our waiter was happy to explain the dishes and options for us. I went with the goat curry and it was amazing. The goat was very tender. A great portion size too! We are lucky to have this place and its quality in Hope. Had a great lunch and will return for a dinner. Friday and weekend nights are busy so must remember to make a booking.

It would have been 5 stars if it was not for the food on the second night. On the first night we went there as a Curry Club because we heard that the food was great and it was not disappointing at all. We had great food. On the night after I decided to take the family and friends visiting from Christchurch there instead of our go to curry house. Although the food was good it was not blowing you away good. Will we support them again, yes we would but this time we will know what to expect. For those that enjoy their curry "Indian Hot" you will be disappointed with the spiciness as it is more like a Medium, so keep that in mind. On that, there are still only one curry house in the Tasman area that can make curry "Indian Hot" or...

A Flavorful and Authentic Indian Feast!

I recently had a casual dinner at Indian Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and authentic. I ordered the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, and both dishes were rich, creamy, and had the perfect amount of spice. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients to create these delicious, traditional flavors. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and quick, making sure we had everything we needed without any delays. Indian Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone craving truly authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. It's the perfect spot for a casual meal where you're guaranteed to leave...
