Hidden Gem. Most will know but for those that don't, and like me wanted to go to an establishment that cater for all. What a top find. Staff are acknowledging and so very kind. Coffee was perfection in aroma and taste, would surely give any barista in Melbourne VIC or Gold Coast Q.L.D a run for their money. It was evident my eggs (perfectly poached) benedict were made from freshly sourced produce, just good traditional flavors I crave and the hollandaise sauce I believe was made from scratch with a Tarragon or Thyme and vinegar reduce all delivered on great bread. The display cabinet amongst everything else was very clean, presented very well and full of eat in or grab and go goodies which are moderately priced for the quality caliber of food. I recon this crew must get up at the crack of dawn to get all of this put together. I also liked the privacy one can obtain in certain areas of this establishment. For corporate chats, where the walls have no ears and no interruptions.

Families and little ones, what a treat to visit. The TLC put into every aspect of this establishment is profound, especially in regards to the reptiles and other gorgeous creatures whom are cared for in such high regard. Much respect and mutual respect.

A must go to either passing though this beautiful land or a go to from the boring norm. By the way, this crew do not do the close at 2pm thing and reopen later on in the arvo, which annoys the hell out of me. Check out the...

We arrived Monday just after 1.30 with my 9 month old niece and sister in law for her birthday lunch - every table inside was covered in dirty dishes , we waited at the counter for somebody to serve us (while we hunted high and low for a menu) another customer arrived and joint the queue , over 5 minutes later a young girl appeared from out of the kitchen and immediately started to serve the other customer who wanted to play mini golf. We continued to wait patiently as the other customer told the staff member that we were actually first and to serve us. We asked for the menu and at this point were told very abruptly that the kitchen was closed . I looked at my watch which now said 1.45 and said your website states you are open until 4pm . I was then told, again abruptly , that the kitchen closes at 2.30 everyday . The staff member quickly realised that it was well before 2.30 and advised that the kitchen had closed early today . Absolutely no apology was offered. I suggest you update your open hours to state actual hours that your kitchen is open and maybe a course on customer service for your staff so that your future patrons might receive a level of service this expected when...

If you are on SH1 travelling south, and looking for a refreshment break or to stretch you (or the kids) legs, this is a great place (including an indoor play put and swings/slides outdoors).

Lots (!!!) of space (especially on a warm day), a good selection of food in a very New Zealand themed environment.

The drinks aren't the very best, the service isn't super quick, but the place more than makes up for it with quirkiness.

It's a know or so off the main highway, and even though there is a sign in a paddock, it's not the easiest to spot if you are travelling at speed. And getting back onto the highway to head North demands huge amounts of patience. But next time I am in that part of country hosting visitors, I'll be popping in.

It's...

I brought a group of 100 apple farmers to Shearers Quarters as part of an International Study Tour. What a great place! The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and my guests really enjoyed the venue. It was wonderful to spread out at the variety of seating they have. The landscaping was beautiful, lots of blooming flowers. It was fun to see the animals in the back... huge assortment. Great for children. And my guests really enjoyed getting beers and their specialty fancy beverages. Was a slam dunk as an event organizer I was very pleased with the new Shearers Quarters owners, the value for money, the tasty food, the setting, etc. Thanks!

Was in Timaru camping and I’m so glad this place popped up when searching for mini golf. We stopped in here today on our way home. The outdoor playground and games got the kids attention and we were out there for awhile even before getting inside. Welcomed by the friendly staff, I loved the interior decor and layout, the kids play area inside was fantastic we spot. We got the combo deal. Great mini golf course, farm animal set up was cool, the maze area could do with some TLC. Overall the boys and I had lots of fun here . We didn’t get any food as we ate before arriving but it looked delicious and smelt amazing.

Really enjoyed today's visit particularly the animals and the delicious hot chocolate! However I thought I'd share a few photos that I took at the playground while my 3 year old son was playing. From a health and safety perspective, these are a little concerning! Two pieces of very sharp metal sticking out from the front of the postman pat van. One big rusty thing in the middle of the playing area that is just asking for someone to trip and hurt themselves on. Finally the baby swing hangs at a funny angle - I wouldn't put my own 7 month old baby in there for fear of her tipping out!!
