A well earned 5 star review. I have been to my fair share of remote and rural cafés across the world, but this is by far the best one I’ve yet experienced. Humble and a little tired looking from the outside, you will be transformed when you enter. The waitress team were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and value for money, with a selection of brunch and lunch meals, as well as baked goods and sandwiches. This is nestled alongside a lovely shop full of great Mother’s Day gifts or newborn baby presents. I had the Nutella waffles…amazing! Bacon Nutella warm fruit and maple syrup…my morning made! With both indoor and outdoor seating options, with beautiful surrounding scenery, this is a must to stop at it you’re travelling across the South Island!

Hmmm Well the steak sandwich I ordered tasted pretty good. The food presentation was also very good. The service and interaction from the young ladies running the place was also faultless. Don't want to be harsh on it but they do need to keep on top of a few housekeeping issues such as cleanliness of toilets , glassware etc. Nice place.

Popped in here on a late Sunday morning. Place was moderately busy already. The interior is beautifully set up, adorned with aviation items, art and other items. The seating is cosy. I had a simple cheese scone and a flat white. Scone was nice and warm and the coffee was good.

A friend took me to Miss Cocoa for my very first time and i was looking forward to my visit. We both ordered Seafood Chowder at $22 . Coming from a restaurant background this was a very disappointing experience. There was a few pieces of mussle & tiniest piece of squid and lacked the 'iconic seafood flavour' but the biggest disappointment it was over thickend with way to much flour, I left half of the soup as it was simply awful and certainly not worth what we paid....

Disappointed. Ordered soup , coffee, wedges to share and a biscuit each. We were given the biscuits at the counter. After 10-15 mins the coffee came. After half an hour l went to ask about soup and wedges . Wedges arrived about 10mins later and then the barely warm soup. Husband had two large peices of chibata with his and l had one very small piece cut in half. At $66 for this, we wont be...
