After a good hype up from friends, we were beyond disappointed with our experience.
Our entree was bad enough to make us cancel our mains and take our business elsewhere.
$21 for 3 measly pieces of jackfruit, served on half a piece of lettuce, was rather appalling and the flavour profile didn't do it any justice. As big lovers of food, we have a genuine appreciation for the price of fine dining. But unfortunately this was the polar opposite and it left a bitter taste in our mouths.
Fortunately, we voiced our concerns and were given 20% off the dish when we departed.
We were gutted, because our journey to Kimi Ora was filled with excitement and we were already discussing how it was going to be our new regular place.
The positives here, are that the staff were pleasant, the view is beautiful and the area makes you feel like your overseas.

Our girls completely disliked their Caesar salad, the toast potato dish was more like wedges, and we had to pick a decent pile of chilli out of our Korean rice, which added heat without flavour. Read moreHad dinner here the other night. The waitress was so nice!! Very friendly, helpful and upbeat which was great. The food was average -.. we found everything to be very expensive (19$ for 4 pieces of sushi), more than expensive it wasn’t very good.. we had the sushi (6/10) and goat cheese spread (5/10) as starters, and the halumi dish (8/10), black rice with tufo (best dish-10/10) and the cauliflower (3/10) as mains. We also ate the penna cotta (1/10) as dessert which was really not for us. The vibe of the place is great, awesome view and very nice staff members, but the food need’s some work. Probably wouldn’t come...
