We took a rest stop here on our drive to the Catlins, and boy are we glad we did. The whole place is an absolute delight. The staff are warm and welcoming, the food is delicious, and the gardens are stunning.
Our dog was welcome on the premises and provided with a fresh bowl of water, before she enjoyed a walk through the gardens. We relaxed in the shade outside and shared a selection of dishes, each one as mouth-watering as the last.
The cinnamon buns were warm and soft, the carrot cake moist and flavoursome, and the sausage roll rated as the best ever by my sons. My coffee snob husband gave the coffee two thumbs up, and the rest of us had various flavours of iced-tea all of which were refreshing and bursting with flavour.
We'll be stopping again on the way home for more refreshments and to stock up on the incredibly inviting fruit...
