Stationside Cafe — Restaurant in Vincent Community

One star because they do not accept credit or any non-Kiwi card. I’ve traveled all over NZ and never have I experienced any cafe that wouldn’t accept my credit card, even cafes that were more remote and in less touristy areas. I could not order anything or enjoy my time there and I’m extremely disappointed. Very unprofessional of them not to accommodate international visitors.

We stopped here in 2020 and it was a highlight and we couldnt wait to stop here again. Unfortunately we didnt know about having to prebook. They were open for other groups but we werent able to get anything as we didnt book. Edited to add a truck driver told us we couldnt get anything unless we had prebooked.
