Great place for a relaxing lunch. Good weather, so tables on the lawn under the shade of trees or umbrellas. Absolutely beautiful and delicious food - we had the beef, confit duck, and chicken for mains and would happily have again. Mains priced around $36 - $48 and are complete dishes, no sides offered. About 8 choices of main. Nothing on the menu for vegetarians so I would check ahead - menu changes as to season and availability. Just breads if looking for a starter. We also had desserts - pavlova (homemade and drizzled with lemon curd, some berry couli and with fresh nectarines and strawberries), chocolate mousse, raspberry coconut panacotta and lemon creme brulee - all excellent). A range of drinks available, glasses of wine (focusing on Central Otago vineyards) about $18 a glass. I would definitely say that this is a place more for a group of adults who are looking for excellent food to enjoy at their leisure and perfect for a place to go for a special occasion. Went to The Packing Shed today with my parents from Auckland. Been there a few times- food and service consistently amazing. They always exceed my expectations! So it was with great pleasure to take my parents today. Again the food and overall experience was just incredible. Parents still talking about it, saying it was a fabulous meal. If you’re going, make sure you try the lamb wellington or duck. Actually you can’t make a wrong choice. Everything is good!
