Great little cafe to stop at along the highway for pies, breakfast, sandwiches, toasties, salads, desserts, amazing coffee and tea drinks, and a good selection of cold drinks. The service is always quick and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There are items available for purchase, like local honey, olive oils, dressings, jellies and jams, and ice cream treats. Milk, dairy items, fresh eggs, and fresh vegetables are also available for purchase. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, too. One of our favorite stops while traveling around New Zealand!

I love coming here. Set in lovely surroundings which you can tell are tended to with care. The food is very nice however it is quite pricey (hence 4 stars instead of 5). The staff are friendly. The selection of food from the menu and the cabinet is also excellent. Even though this cafe is set next to a main road, it is still very relaxing to sit in. The best bits for me are that it's kid friendly, dog friendly and LGBTQ-friendly. All very inclusive indeed! I'd recommend this over almost all other roadside cafes I have tried. 😁

Stopped here for a cup of coffee this morning. It was 7:30am. Place didn't look open. Lucky for me the guy inside saw me and waved. They don't open until 8am but he called me in and made me a coffee. Had that inside and them decided I needed something to eat. Freshly baked pies were coming out of the oven. I had a lamb pie. It was great with real pieces of lamb inside. The place is lovley and very clean and tidy. This can me matched with the A+ food rating I guess. The toilets were very clean also.

I have visited this place twice with my daughter Hoping for a nice little breakfast or lunch break perhaps a stop for coffee and refreshments

The Price is here through the roof The value for money is not there The atmosphere is through the floor The coffees are absolutely disgusting and taste like a cup of sugary water

When we pulled in today there were three or four other vehicles that pulled in just prior to us in which I noticed after reading the menu and having a look around They Quickly LEFT

Admittedly we were not far behind them Almost $30 for a big breakfast and almost $24 for two corn fritters with prices like this poor value coffee it’s no wonder there was no one but us eating there

The seating outside is beautiful the quality of the pies is great however $10 for a pie is definitely not a price I would continue to pay

It’s unfortunate that when places like this these get brought out by foreigners that the quality goes through the floor

However the place was clean and tidy The young lady behind the counter was absolutely lovely

Overall out of 10 I would only give them between 3 to 5 points

It’s not often I would ever give a poor review of anywhere that I have been however I find it reasonable and perhaps the owners will start to make an effort to try and bring in more customers instead of collecting maximum...

Location, outlook and cafe ambience very nice. Meat pie was high quality with good steak and gravy with the right amount of pepper. Long black was average but within the normal range for most cafes that don't specialise in coffee. Lots of parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Signage not so friendly with at least 8 signs telling me not what not to do. I have driven past this cafe a lot but don't stop after stopping once and being shocked by the price of a long Black. Having lived in the country now for 18 months I appreciate the economic reality that drives prices higher outside of Auckland and Wellington. Most of the signage was ok but the sign teeming me to each my hands lost a rating star. There are two cafes on SH 27 North of Tahuna, this one would be...

We stopped at the first place we passed by after several hours driving a diverted route. Looking forward to some food, it was a disappointment. The pies were dry, and the beef was chewy. ‐------- I am 100% in the right place. There was not much food selection at the time we came, and it looked like the pies were the cracker of the menu. So we ordered a steak and pepper and a steak and mushroom pie. On both, the dough was a bit tough with a puffy top. The meat was chewy, as said, and not falling apart as expected. All on all, we thought it was an OK dish but not a...
