Robert Harris — Restaurant in Waikato

Overpriced for average quality. 90% if not all of the food in the cabinet is wholesale and who knows how long its been sitting in there. I recently ordered a medium caramel latte and chocolate brownie. A medium latte is a little over $5 and the caramel shot must cost a little over $3 as the total for my coffee came to $8.40. The quality of the Robert Harris coffee bean I know to be good however my coffee was made below the standard for the name of the brand.

The chocolate wholesale brownie unfortunately was a complete let down. It was presented too hot to eat initially and with unwanted nor requested melted whipped cream. Yes I have had wholesale brownies before and have had no issues in the past. The brownie was beyond dry it crumbled to pieces in my hand.

I have been to the Tokoroa Robert Harris many times in the past so I am very disappointed to have had a bad experience and would suggest driving further into town to the Macdonalds or...

Really poor service. The male server did not know how to split a payment and it was very uncomfortable listening to him vent about us bringing in a gift voucher and how gift cards should be banned. The food was terrible too. The big breakfast would not have fed a toddler. The chicken salad had a few slithers of deli chicken and a ridiculous amount of packet noodles with a small amount of salad leaves. Every bite exploded with oil. Expensive price for that poor experience and we didn't end up finishing the food. Definitely would not...

As an Australian tourist coming to NZ, this cafe is literally the best ive had in so so long. Coffee was really enjoyable, however the Matcha drink is GENUINE matcha from japan and tastes AMAZING

They nailed it down, as an asian that enjoys a variety of drinks and food from asia, they impressed me with this particular matcha drink! Not syrupy as they use real powder, with no grassy taste at all!
