The apple was indeed big. Was covered in graffiti but still a fun stop. The big Azz real fruit Ice cream was excellent and generously portioned. Public toilets available. Coffee very average. Souvenirs better (and many the same) at waitomo glow worm caves. Appreciated the bee hive in the information centre/souvenir shop.

I have visited this place about 10 years ago. Good food and friendly staff. However the facilities are bit out of date. It’s a shame there are no more animals outside.

Stopped in at the cafe today for a break from driving and had the most delicious mocha made for me. The service was really friendly and the staff are all 'people' people. The cafe and deck were really inviting and they have Wifi! ha ha... Absolutely recommend the BIG Apple Cafe as a place to stop when you are travelling...

Good place to stop, often busy and overcrowded I suppose they can’t help that, but it’s frustrating enough.

Updated Feb 2021 - Changed to 5 star, lovely ladies on the counter, yummy pies, great service all round will stop in...
