Enjoyed having dinner at English Dhaba last night. We ordered, Prawn biryani, chicken saagwala and garlic naan. I enjoyed the biryani. The prawns were cooked to perfection. It was not the South Indian biryani that I am used to, but still was full of flavour and quiet satisfying. I have to mention, the portion size of the biryani was almost double of what we get in other places. Saagwala was different to the ones we usually get. It almost was close to a homemade dish. I was very pleased with the food and service. I am definitely going back to try more dishes.

Truly brilliant spot for a BYO. I can’t remember what we ordered but it was delicious. Great times. Definitely didn’t look like it had been plagued by fire. Will be back!

generally don’t write reviews cuz I have ever had any serious issues with any Resturant. Well it’s a first time for everything..

Ordered tandoori chapatis, dal makhani and chicken jalfeeizi..

Today isn’t the first time we had ordered food from outside and from them it’s been our second interaction . The first time the food wasn’t good however we ignored it thinking it might be one off case but today the food wasn’t good at all and the chapati were salty .. too salty for even tandoori .. the problem isn’t that the food was bad the problem is how they handled the entire episode and by saying to my wife ‘Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai yeh!”..

my wife was nothing but polite but there is a way to handle an upset customer specially when it’s not their fault and this isn’t the way . I’m attaching the pictures of the food for references..

To the restaurant owner.. learn customer service first.....

This is the first time I have been to this restaurant and yet I have lived in the srea for 40 years. Four of us went there because our usual restaurant was closed for holidays. The food was excellent and very moderately priced from $15.50 per meal to $17.50. Be wary, the portion sizes are large ! Mixed platter entre at $15 for two people was a meal in itself. Followed by Chicken Vindaloo which was spicey but not too much. Cost for $53 for two people. It is BYO and licensed. Its a small restaurant holds approx 30 people (just a guess) Service was polite and prompt. Decor is ok, its not palatial but adequate. Highly...

I can see this has been mentioned in other reviews and the owners have acknowledged it.. but oh my goodness the dining room at this place is the filthiest place I have ever eaten in. It literally looks like the whole place has been on fire and no-one has bothered to clean it up. It was also FREEZING cold, so I ate with scarf and jacket on. I'd guess the kitchen ventilation is not working and the kitchen smoke is being vented out of the restaurant through the dining area. I was really tempted to call the council to report this as a potential health and...
