Soaring Eagle Spur Nigeria — Restaurant in Lagos State

So my review is in different parts.

Spur is usually one of my faves. Let's start with the good. The Jollof Rice, twas on point and really really yummy.

But there's so much that wasn't okay on this day. First, the extractor fans weren't working, the whole restaurant was filled with fumes. Our clothes bore the brunt by the time we left, we all smelt of food. Had to wash my baby's hair as the food smell refused to leave. Then the choking... my chest got really tight, (as an asthmatic person), I had to leave in a hurry. We tried to sit outside, the waiters were trying to help, but the flies were so many. It didn't help that the outside was dirty and littered. The play equipment needs proper cleaning (and disinfecting) . My kids refused to play in it.

The ribs I ordered were a huge miss. BBQ sauce was sparsely used, ribs were hard and overall not nice. The calamari, I enjoyed. The prawns were okay.

The waiter also seemed distracted. Didn't write down our order, brought a chicken burger instead of beef burger, which we sent back for the correct one. Brought peppered wings instead of BBQ... Twas just not a great day at Spurs.

I hope they get the feedback...

I stopped at @officialspurnigeria for family dinner, and I was not disappointed!

I know I’m a Christian, but I can almost swear by the chocolate milkshake, lol. It was everything 😃

We ordered buffalo wings, T-bone steak, seafood platter, and chips/fried rice as sides.

The meals were filling, and the taste was delicious.

The environment was quite busy, and it was difficult to hear ourselves across the table. I’d probably not recommend it for a romantic date, but it is ideal for hanging out with family and friends who don’t mind a mean steak!

The food was quite affordable; we spent about NGN21,000 for everything ordered.

The restaurant is deeply rooted in traditions; the decor emphasizes this—ideal for people who like to keep family...

I have been here only once and my experience was beautiful. It was the only food store in the mall that wasn’t packed, music in the background, pretty native American decor. Food was really good and affordable. Fast service. Tip: There’s a kids menu (cheaper) that can fill up adults that don’t eat large portions.
