Royal mandarin restaurant — Restaurant in undefined

On one of my trips to my favourite state outside Lagos, Abeokuta. Me and my friends were on the lookout for a restaurant to have dinner, and from our search, Royal Mandarin Chinese restaurant popped up and we decided to give it a try. We arrived at exactly 9 pm, to a welcoming atmosphere right from the entrance. The ambience within the premises and inside the restaurant was quite homely and welcoming, we had our seats and the menu list presented to us. I was in the company of Mike and Ming who were from the US and New Zealand respectfully. Ming, wanted to try something local and he ended up ordering Egusi soup and pounded yam meal with my recommendation which was what I also had, Mike was not really on the side of experimenting with food, so he stuck with a familiar recipe. We also ordered drinks while we waited for the food to arrive. While we gisted and tried to catch up with our day's activity, our food arrived within the space of 10 mins freshly prepared. At some point my concern was I hope Ming would be able to enjoy this meal, since it's the very first time he's trying it out, to my amazement, he finished the meal and even had to lick up some more portion of the soup. A very amazing and versatile spot that can meet the needs of different kind of people. The outdoor bar was a bit crowded guess it is because of the festive season. I went straight to the restaurant as I came for dinner.

Staff: all the staff at their different duty posts were super receptive

Ambience: not bad. Wish the music for the restaurant was separate from that of the rest of the building. The loud clubhouse music didn't feel appropriate for dining especially if a romantic date.

Pricing: I consider this reasonable for the quantity and quality of food served

Food: they have a wide range on the money to include Chinese and local cuisine .the food came on time. Well presented. Tasty. I really enjoyed my order. The only complaint I have with the meal is biting on ginger chunks every now and then. That wasn't very cool.I suggest the chef uses minced ginger and garlic instead.

The restaurant!!!!!! 💪......I'd definitely go there again, the setting is lovely and there's space for whatever kind of group you're coming with (tables for 2,4,8,12 and even family) and it's children friendly too.

Now to the food....... Omg!!! It was niceeeee, like really nice and the portions are large so you'll be getting a lot of value for the price you're paying. I had the fried rice with shrimps and sweet and sour chicken sauce 😋..... it was really good 👍.

The person who also attended to me was really nice and friendly and she helped with the menu too. She was also very honest about how long the food will take to get ready and she kept on checking on us ❤.

The restaurant ambience was really relaxed especially because it wasn't busy at all when I was there.
