Sushi NamNam Kokstad — Restaurant in Bergen

I had my first and most likely the last experience with Sushi NamNam Kokstad one week ago. On the late evening I ordered 2 sets of maki to take away and while eating at home after couple of pieces found something hard in one - it was a piece of glass!! Shocked, I jumped straight into the car and drove food back to the restaurant where quite embarrassed waiter could say nothing but “i don’t know, this never happened before”. She also asked if I wanted another set (well, no, thank you), if I want money back (yes, of course) or if I want a donut (haha). There were no managers in restaurant at that point of time. But I said that I wanted to talk to the manager anyway and even talked to someone on the phone and explained that this was not a situation “I ordered maki and brought them back because I don’t like them”. This was much more serious and health threatening. They wrote down my phone number and promised to call back the next day when manager gets to work and they investigate the case… and never called back of course. I am happy that I did not end that day in the hospital. But will stay away from Sushi...

We were staying at one of the major hotels just a 5 minute walk away from this restaurant. We looked at the food options at the Hotel and found them limited and costly. We decided to head to the local supermarket to fetch dinner. Just before the supermarket we noticed Sushi NamNam. It was next door to Domino's pizza ( ok. not such a good sign), but the menu looked interesting. We had chicken yakitori, scampi, and spring rolls plus rice entree. For main course, duck and noodles, and some white dragon sushi. The food was very good and exceeded our expectations. The restaurant had a nice feel to it and the background music added a subtle relaxing contemporary ambience. We had all this for less than the cost of two hamburgers back at our Hotel. Highly...

Sushi NamNam is a nice, cozy restaurant near Bergen airport close to the car workshops. We had a great meal at the restaurant. The manager and service staff were extremely helpful going out of their way to make us comfortable. The baguettes were fresh and the coffee machine is great.
