Don't stay at this overpriced tourist trap. It's way too expensive and tricks tourists with misleading ads. I know Lofoten is famous and costs more than other places in Norway. We don't mind paying more for quality, but this place doesn't match the price or what they show online. The cabin (number 9) we got was old, not taken care of, and didn't have enough stuff. It was also not clean and not cozy at all. We had a bad view of the toilets, parking lot, and campers. It made us feel like we got cheated.

I don't like giving bad reviews, without documentation. Among the images, you can see my receipt. I paid 5,590 NOK for two nights (2,795 NOK or approx. 250 euro per night) for the cabin. At most other places, we paid around 1,800-2,500 per night. All those places were much better: newer, way more spacious, higher standard, clean, and more/better equipped.

The cabin was old and didn't look like it had been fixed or upgraded in a long time. The floor was slanted, and the bathroom very moisty (despite using the not so effective ventilation). It flooded when we showered, and it smelled like mold. The dirty curtain was so bad I didn't want to touch it.

In the wall, there were loose cables I had to tape over as we had 2 children with us.

They showed pictures of a nice beach view for the cabin, and they wrote we could see mountains and a garden too. But the pictures I took show our real view – it was toilets, the parking lot, and campers. We even saw how they cleaned the camping facilities, and it wasn't very hygienic.

They promised a kitchenette with everything we needed, but it was far from what they said. The stove and hood barely worked, and we had to check and clean everything ourselves because it was sticky and dirty. There was no dishwasher either.

The service wasn't great either. The person at the front desk was friendly but not good at explaining things. Check-in was messy. We asked for a baby bed before coming, but they didn't have one when we arrived. We had to explain what it was and ask three times before they brought one, and it had no mattress or sheets.

We don't care much about TV on vacation, but when you pay so much, you expect it to work. The small TV they gave us was dirty and didn't work. When we told them, they said someone would fix it, but nobody ever came.

If the ads were honest, the service better, and the price more in accordance with its standard (maximum 1,200 NOK per night), it might have been okay. But it felt like the people running this place just want to take as much money as they can from tourists without caring about their experience. We were excited about spending extra time in Ramberg, but this bad experience really affected our mood and our trip. I hope the owners think about this and make some changes.

For now, I suggest you don't stay here. The only good thing is the nice beach nearby. You can visit it for free, while staying...

Ristorante ottimo per chi viaggia da Svolvaer a Reine - Excellent restaurant for the one that travels from Svolvaer to Reine.

In trip from Leknes toward Reine during a rainy Sunday we have found on the road this restaurant. The prices are the average Norvevese, appetizers from 115 NOKs around and other dishes from 250 NOKs around. We have taken a salad of pescestocco and meat of it flashes smoked. Good the portions. During Sunday it is possible to make some sideboards up to her 18:00 after such schedule can be ordered to the paper. For the one who wanted to dine the evening of Sunday the whatever restaurant of the Lofotens it recommends him to verify possible...

Look no further, give this place a try. This was the best restaurant food experience we had in 2 weeks in Lofoten after trying most of the nice sit-down restaurants near Leknes and Scolvær. Food was made fresh, taste was exquisite and packed with flavor. The restaurant is co-owned by a family-run fishing business so you get fresh seafood at this place.

The Grenadier fish was the best we have ever tried. They may not have it all the time so worth to ask! It's a deep sea fish not commonly caught.

Prices are in line with other sit-down restaurants in Norway. So we think reviews that say this is "overpriced" may be missing the point as these are standard/average prices in Norway. (They pay their people fairly here unlike back home in the US relying on tips - sad but true)

We were lucky to be served by the owner himself, Ingar. He was very friendly, and deeply knowledgeable about his menu and the lovely islands he calls home. Since it was near closing time we had the privilege of having a nice conversation with him and learn a few things about locals. We hope to meet him again when...
