My first visit to Husmannstua in Harstad left an impression of a place with remarkable potential. The location is excellent, central and inviting while the interior strikes a perfect balance between urban elegance and Scandinavian freshness. Warm lighting, natural materials, and thoughtful details create atmosphere that feels both modern and grounded. We arrived without a reservation, and the staff handled our spontaneous visit gracefully. The waiter was attentive and quick to accommodate us, setting a positive tone for the evening. The printed menu was clear, concise, and well-structured, offering a thoughtful selection that reflects both local tradition and contemporary taste. Now, to the culinary experience. The potato cubes with parmesan were a good start,well-seasoned, rich in texture, and ideal for a quick snack or a light sharing dish. A definite recommendation for those asking something casual yet satisfying. However, some refinement in execution would elevate the experience further. A small but important note: sparkling wine should always be properly sealed🤞🏻 once bubbles are gone, so is the charm. Equally, a steak should never reach the table cold. Unfortunately, despite asking for it to be reheated, it returned the same. A brief refresh in kitchen training on temperature and serving timing could easily correct this. Despite these details, Husmannstua shows genuine promise — an establishment with taste, aesthetic, and ambition. Første besøk i nyoppstarta restaurant. De har Guinness på tappetårn, grunn nok alene til et besøk. Fesk og potedes er helt oppe og nikker blant det beste jeg har fått servert av fish&chips - skikkelig godt håndtverk. Følget valgte smashing burger, også den laget av folk som kan mat: saftig kjøtt, skikkelig god chutney, bra brød. Upåklagelig service og ikke minst en sjukt bra beliggenhet.
