1 star for many reasons:

Upon arrival the waiter said "The sun will go down and it will be a bit more shady in less than an hour, are you sure you want to sit?" It was clear she didn't want anymore customers.

Waiter didn't bring knife or fork out with the food, we had to ask for them, took them 5 minutes after the food came to bring a knife and fork, while we were waiting with the warm food in front of us.

The moose pizza was mediocre, the reindeer pizza was soggy and wet, not cooked all the way through. Difficult to finish, but we were so hungry we had to push through it.

When we were finished and ready to pay, no one came over. We had to go and try to find someone, who then used another 10 minutes to come over and let us pay.

It's a shame that the quality of service and food is so bad in such a nice location. Hopefully someone else will take over this restaurant,...

The restaurant is beautiful and the view is even better. Maybe one of the best views of Oslo that you can have from a restaurant in the city. The food is tasty, and even if it’s a bit pricy the portions are quite big. We had a pretty good pizza and shrimp bread, which was a bit salty but the salad on the side balanced the flavors. The food didn’t take much to be served and overall it was a very good experience. The small downside was the long line to order food. Maybe they should have a big menu that everyone can see while waiting in line, so when people get to the cashier, they already know what to order. Instead, they lose a lot of time to check the menu when it’s their time to order, so the queue gets longer and longer. If they fix this small problem, everything would be perfect. It’s a place I would love...

A nice mix of nature, good city views and good food. We were 2 families with one child each. We sat outside on a big table under a roof at 13.30 on a Sunday. Not many people at that time so there was a lot of free tables.

The view of Oslo city and fjord from the place is amazing. We had the Sommerhagen and Bacon&blomkål pizzas, both being really tasty. We would have them again for sure.

Inside of the restaurant looked also really nice, very cozy and warm.

We took the bus that gets you almost to the entrance on the restaurant and went back walking on the trail with the strollers. I think that walking up with the strollers is a bit challenging so I would recommend doing it only on the way down if you are travelling with kids/babies...

Absolutely amazing experience at Grefsenkollen restaurant. No wonder this place had high ratings and reviews on Google Maps. Often restaurants with a great view like this would only "sell" the view and have mediocre food. But here, you get amazing food as well. Looking at snowy forests and city with a fireplace burning by your side, and you get to taste pizza with a Norwegian twist. I had Bukkene Bruse which is a name of a Norwegian folktale of sheep and Reinsdyr (reindeer) pizza. It was a fantastic choice. There is also an outdoor Cafe with Norwegian waffles with jam, cream, and brunost. It's perfect to have a coffee and dessert here afterwards. I would definitely take my friends and family to show what a Norwegian restaurant is.

A short hike and big reward... I unfortunately forgot what metro/bus/tram route we took from the city center to get up here but I’m sure you could find it via directions on Google Maps, as I did. :) The trail wasn’t too clear but it’s not hard to find, it was a nice short hike up to the top, and the restaurant wasn’t open at the time (beginning of July, Scandinavians close down their businesses and go on vacation!! 😂) but the cafe was open, where you can get wine, beer, and pizza, salad, sandwiches. The view was amazing (as you can see in my pics), so worth the trek. :)
