Considering this is the only restaurant on Sommarøy where you can get a meal if you haven't packed in food, it's not too bad. There is a kind of homely, 1980s feeling but at the same time, it could really do with an upgrade. The menu has a nice selection - chicken nuggets, burgers, fish nuggets, fries, sandwiches, filter coffee, ice cream, etc. Kids menu also available. We had a fish burger and fish nuggets, both came with fries. The food was all fried - it is what it is, pub food. Prices were on par with those in any other restaurant so can't say much there, it's fair and the portions were quite large. I'm not sure I understand why the food is served on paper plates - it has been this way for a few years it seems. Puzzling, to say the least. When you leave the restaurant, you throw the paper plates and cutlery away in the trash can by the entrance. Seems there could be a better place to put the trash? Not very welcoming. We visited in early April so there was no outside seating with a view, you'll have to wait until summer for that. Worth a stop if you are hungry. With a few minor improvements, this place could be great.

I dined at Anne-Grete Jensen Havfrua Kro recently. While the fish and chips were OK, I was disappointed by the use of pre-made ingredients and the relatively high prices. The absence of traditional accompaniments like lemon or Remoulade sauce, replaced with thousand island dressing, was odd. The dry and tasteless sirloin steak lacked expected sides like garlic butter or proper sauce. Considering the cost of 180kr, I had higher expectations. The location was nice though, and the service was good.

I don’t know why, but I loved this place. It is so cozy, and people were so friendly and welcoming. They were always smiling even when we were not able to pronounce some words correctly. They have some board games like the Yacht or Yatzy. We had a great time me and my family drinking hot chocolate, playing and chatting. For me, it worth to stop by if you go there for any reason. Wish them all the best.

I ordered the fish and chips plus coffee, the price is pretty cheap compared to Norway especially Oslo, the food itself was very solid. Fish and chips were crispy and the fish was incredibly tender and had a very nice peppery flavour, although it was a little under salted for my taste, they provided salt and pepper plus various condiments like ketchup, etc. Coffee itself wasn't bad, what I liked about it is the option for a free refill. It was a godsend for me. The place itself is quite cozy with locals enjoying their time, it's very warm compared to the outside so it's a great refuge for travelers. The toilets had 4 different paper dispensers so I'm confident you'll never have to be afraid of running out.

I would like to say thank you to the owner for letting us stay for so long. It rained the entire day and we were severely underprepaired. So we stayed there for couple of hours, although we bought lunch I feel like we overstayed our...
