Toves Tradisjonsmat — Restaurant in Tromsø

My boyfriend and I we here about a week ago. Lovely place. We had some hot chocolates and food. My boyfriend had waffles which he loved and I had the spring rolls with salad. Very tasty.

The Swiss waitress was so friendly and helpful. We also briefly chatted to another nice female employee when she came over to pet our dog.

The Swiss woman recommended my boyfriend try a sort of sweet cheese 'Gudbrandsdalsost'. She even gave me a taste. We loved it so much we bought some at the supermarket because they don't sell it themselves.

They also sell nice little jars of marinades and other bits so we got a jar to take home. They have plenty of sheltered seating outside so we were able to have our dog sit with us too.

What an amazing place in a fantastic location. Went there for a late lunch and the food always incredible so fresh and tasty. The owner was genuinely one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet. First to know is that I didn't stay there for the night. I only stopped there for a coffee, which turns into a small lunch. The food I had was a Toast with cheese and Ham, the bread was homemade and the cheese and ham from the farms around the place.
