We had the 4-course set meal - it was fabulous. I am not a huge seafood fan, but I am a fan of thoughtfully created dishes. We were told by a friend that it was very good, so we decided to try it. The atmosphere was lovely - beautiful view and nicely presented tables. My favorite dish was the first course - stockfish tartare. It included anchovy tartare as well. It was not at all fishy. The flavors were varied and so interesting. My husband was going to skip the anchovy, but I decided to try a tiny bit. It was wonderful. Not fishy, not salty - instead, it tasted like fresh oranges - delightful. I told my husband he should try it. He did and agreed it was very tasty. The salmon was also wonderful. (Sorry, I started eating it before I took the photo.) It was served with many different condiments and garnishes that all married together well. One sauce we both loved, but couldn't quite place the flavor. By the time we made it to the salted cod dish, I was getting very full. I really liked the red sauce, but I was just too full to finish this course. Dessert was a rum soaked cake with fruits and cream. It was very delicate, with many contrasting flavors. Also delightful, but I was again too full to finish it. This was a wonderful meal that is worth reserving a table for. Note that dinner is available only on Fridays.

We did the salmon and stockfish tour combination. Both parts were preceded by a small tour inside by a guide with explanations and a short movie. With the salmon tour you visit the farms on the water and they have different sites. The boat itself is fun already 😎 For the stockfish we went to the warehouse where they process them for sorting, storage and expediting. Additionally we also had the taste testing. It's a very small taster, but still nice to have. All in all a great experience if you are interested in fish. Since it was lunchtime after the tasting, it was a good idea to stay for lunch. All options are probably good, but we had the tapas, salmon burger and fried fish mix and they tasted great. If you like, it's possible to buy a variety of fish and salt there.

Not a bad place to visit if you are interested in fishing culture in Norway. Exhibition with tasting plate is 200NOK and the Fishing Boat Tour is 300NOK. We missed the boat tour, but it looked pretty interesting, so we saw the exhibition. We spent about 45 mins - 1 hour reading every article and watching every video. There are German, Norwegian and English languages available. Unfortunately there was no English audio guide working so we missed a few videos. Overall, not bad and we got to learn about Salmon farming and the cod drying process.

An amazing experience. First we visited the exhibition, which allowed us to have a perfect insight in the fish industry based on facts and figures. Those made us confident to eat a healthy fish diet. The film in the cinema was both entertaining and educational. Next we enjoyed a boat ride out the salmon farms of the company, after a short instruction and the correct suit up with weatherproof suits. The ride on the fast boat in the front row was an exciting experience, we can recommand everyone. Last but not least we could enjoy a yummy tasting of the companies products, such as smoked salmon, caviar or creamed cod. Overall we have to state, this was one of our best experience in the Lofoten....
