JAL Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Muscat

We (my husband and myself) had very bad experience with Jal Oman restaurant. We had seen the reviews and also the place on internet and decided to go there. Immediately we entered the place we saw all the staff so unprofessionally standing at one corner and also didnot even bother to attend the customers. Once we got a place to settle down, the staff was so rude and they just went on and on saying no for whatever we asked for. Also they told that the minimum order should be for 20 OMR. Even if that is the rule, there is always a professional way of saying it. The food that we ordered was also not so great. We have dined at much better places.

If you entertain only members of the golf club and not outsiders then you should market it that way. Not that you market it as if it’s open for all customers and be rude. I think if someone has decided to visit your property looking at ambience then they wouldn’t have cared for the bill that they need to pay. Minus star from my side. Stunned and astonished. Went with my wife and my child. I was approached and told to leave the premises "because" I had a child! Surprised at this I asked them why so? Normally such places are either labelled or mentioned otherwise. Open air with chairs apart, I requested I can sit on the far end corner. If it's because of sheesh, then as a medical Dr I'd know that open air and trees around, chairs of 6 to 7 m apart with only one person having sheesh far away, my child and ourselves would be safe.
