Nostalgia - for the restaurant that this used to be. Serving portions have not just shrunk in size but deteriorated abysmally in quality while the price mark is set very high - and for the quality and quantity served - seriously overpriced.
Everything has shrunk in portion and is loaded in butter - the Caesar salad came with dried out chicken served on a bed of lettuce alone - zero rocket or any other green - with this strange buttery sauce splattered in a few places. Two tiny fish steaks are served - literally 6cm*4cm - with the top one moistened by some buttery sauce that actually adds flavor to the other wise dry tasteless white meat - a fate not shared by the second steak as it is under the first when the sauce was dribbled on (presumably before serving). and it comes with two thin slices of beet root and this one thin wafer of presumably potato - but thats difficult to gauge because of all the butter soaked in it. It would be polite not to discuss the gooey soupy bland stuff served for risotto and the chicken was as dry, tough and chewy as they come.
Their Mint lemonade is a joke on mint and lemonade - while the ice cremes are the piece de resistance of their menu. A laughable pass at refrozen locally mass manufactured ice creme - while they consider 'sorbet' to be the aforementioned lemonade barely frozen and crushed into a tablespoonful serving.
this is a place trying to cash in on a memory in the name of haute cuisine (Given the sad attempts at food presentation and the price mark set) - even the ambience of the place is gone and they seat smokers inside adjacent to non smokers.
For a party of three ordering the one soup, one salad, three mains and the three scoops of ice creme - and the single mint lemonade - the dinner bill was PKR 9.9K.
This is an establishment that can safely be avoided for one will not miss anything even remotely of note - other than perhaps that taste of...
Read moreOnly for the ambiance. I visited on the 14th February. They had a pre set menu. And they were catering guests only with reservations. Still they took about 40 mins to serve us the appetisers. Which they said was their specialty. But really it was below average. Then we ordered steaks from their pre set menu. They did not serve it for an hour. Then we got up to leave. They insisted and requested us to stay for a few more minutes and food was served within 2 minutes. My husband likes medium rare. And I order well done. His steak was medium well. And for well done, my steak was burnt. Not to mention, we both dint like our food. So they compensated us with a desert. Which was too much of whipped cream on top of a puff pastry topped with 3 slices of fruit Would not like to...
Read moreThis is a nice place to eat. They have indoor as well as outdoor areas from where you can enjoy the view of some greenery.... I visited it on the valentine's Day❤️ so they had some special giveaways for us. They had a special valentine's Day menu as well. As usual we asked for their specialties. We ordered red snapper fish 🎏 Beef steak (sorry don't remember the name) And chocolate lava cake. Pictures attached... Main course was good. The amount was a little less satisfying to appetite but tasted really good... Usually I don't like beef or mutton steaks but this was definitely worth eating again. DESERT was awesome.. we came to the conclusion that one can visit Pompeii just for that lava cake.........
