I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Khan Restaurant in Manga Mandi, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

We ordered mutton handi, chicken handi, and chicken BBQ — every dish was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of rich, traditional flavors. The spices were well-balanced, and the presentation was impressive. You could truly taste the quality and effort put into every item. The BBQ, in particular, had that perfect smoky aroma and was grilled just right.

The environment was very calm and peaceful, ideal for families or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed meal. The seating was comfortable, and the cleanliness and decor added to the pleasant atmosphere. It wasn’t noisy or crowded, which made the dining experience more enjoyable and stress-free.

Disappointing Experience at Al Khan Restaurant

I have been a regular customer at Al Khan Restaurant for quite some time, often ordering their Chinese dishes, which have usually been quite good. However, my recent experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the Chinese deal along with a half sajih, expecting the usual quality. Unfortunately, what I received was very disappointing.

The Chines gravy was drenched in an overly sweet gravy that completely overpowered the dish. The saji chicken itself was tough and difficult to eat, as if we were forcing it off the bone. This was quite surprising given our past positive experiences with this dish.

I even asked the staff if there had been any changes in the kitchen, thinking perhaps a new chef was responsible for the drastic change in quality. However, I was told that the same chef has been with them for 10 years. If that's the case, I can't understand why the quality has dropped so much recently.
