Went to the new branch of khokha khola in Bahria phase 7, RawalPindi. We went in the evening and ordered the samosa Chaat and the papri Chaat. The papri Chaat was a bit dry and bland but then they brought in the accompaniments which included youghurt dip, Chaat masala and a green chutney which completed the dish. The samosa Chaat was tasty but the center of the somsa was cold. It seemed like it hadn't been thawed completely. We had tea also. Both the karak chai and the masala chai were excellent. The service and ambiance were both spot on. The interior, decor and the choice of music all work well for the outlet. The whole khokha and Desi theme is carried out well. The walls are plastered with posters of old Pakistani movies. The crockery is all carefully curated, old school khokha style with steel plates and glasses and tiny colorful teapots. The decor includes display of things of the bygone era like a stack of video tapes and old cassettes. The old urdu songs playing in the back ground take you back to 60s and the 70s. The snacks on the menu are quite limited. I went to get a bun samosa which was not on the menu anymore. I wish they would bring it back. Other than that the chaats are there, as is bun kebab, paani poori shots and a few other items. The main course offers a bit more variety but we didn't try any on this outlet. If they are maintaining the standard of their Islamabad branch I'm sure they are worth a shot and we definitely plan to go again for a full meal. I also liked the Thali concept on the menu, which allows you to try a combination of dishes, in small portions. Service was good for us but it wasn't tested as we were the only customers there at that time. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating us well planned and spacious. Didn't check the outdoor seating as the weather was a bit humid even in the evening. When we were leaving we saw another couple coming in and choosing to sit outside. The location although is within the main commercial area, and very close to Bahria phase7 & 8 and DHA phase 1, yet is a little on the side street. Not a hassle to reach though, if you know where to go. The Islamabad branch is a bit congested and in comparison this one seems like a better choice for all khoka khola fans. Hope they maintain the same service and quality standards that we get on the Beverley Center Branch.
PS: when the waiter was bringing our food from the kitchen we could see all kitchen staff wearing hair nets and hats. Extra...

Food: Their food is of good quality and taste. You would be able to get almost all Pakistani breakfast dishes here and of good taste. The prices are reasonable as well. Karak chaye was also really good.
Service: Their service is extremely good. All the waiters are helpful and friendly. Food was served within 10 mins of ordering. Atmosphere: The restaurant's outlook and interior are appealing. It's a blend of truck art and a lollywood theme. Gives good vibes.
Overall, this restaurant is a very welcome and refreshing addition to the food scene of Bahria and DHA. People who like Chai Khana must visit this restaurant for different but good quality food. I'd definitely...
Read moreWe were a family of 4 adults and 5 kids and we thoroughly e joyed our breakfast! What made it memorable was the light rain in the morning.
Food was good - we ordered a couple of halwa puri and a couple of set/combo and they were very good. Puri's were not too oily or rubbery and the halwa was also very nice, especially when it was not oily and overly sweet.
It was a bit steep on price as we paid just under 9k.
Excellent experience, would visit again the next rime...
