I want to this restaurant with my family, to try something new, little did I know the money I spent was going to be wasted that day. The food took more then 30 minutes to arrive and we just ordered appatisers, which is a first for me I ordered the chicken satay sticks which although were ok, they were paired with this overly sweet and thick peanut butter sauce.Generally, I have had chicken satay multiple times over my life time and the sauce here is like eatings peanut butter frosting not sure why no one tasted the food before sending it out or why the management is not keeping an eye on quality of the food. Secondly the staff is untrained and aloof of customer needs, we asked a waiter to take our order near us and he told us someone else will take it instead whom we had to wait for an extra 15 minutes to arrive at our table, even though he was free chatting with others and there were no other customers since we went early, this striked me as odd. It took more then 20 minutes to get the bill and after wasting my time they came to me and said their system was broken and I needed to play cash, my question to you is then, why didn't you just tell me that from the beginning and had to waste my time? Absolutely worst service I have ever seen. Kindly, focus on your food and actually taste it before sending it out as well as train your staff in proper...
Read moreI tried their high tea buffet and it did not disappoint. There was a vast variety of dishes from soups, glazed wings, crunchy maki to a line of main courses. Yet, the greater is not always the merrier, in some cases. There were imposters that will catch anyone off guard whilst enjoying the diversity of their meal. Like the one heck of an atrocity named "Thai green curry" or the very questionable taste of hummus. It is not unsuspecting to have an item or two that is downright disappointing in a big buffet. But Dear Bonsai, do something about it. And Dear readers, do yourself a favor and stay away from the items mentioned above unless you like to bite into an elaichi in your biryani. As a whole, it was worth trying and palatable/mildly enjoyable food.
Now let's talk about STEPPING UP THE DESSERT GAME. The bar after having the main course was pretty good which dropped after dessert. The pastries were cheap and dense. At one point the vanilla started tasting like chocolate and the red velvet started tasting like vanilla and that was because it was the same cake with different food coloring. Please do something about the cheap pastries and the high tea will be almost-perfect.
Lastly, their service and costumer dealing was seamless and up to the mark! Waiters were attentive towards everyone and behaved professionally. Will definitely go...

After my last complaint in feb24 and During my recent visit to Bonsai, I was genuinely impressed by the significant improvements in both food quality and service, which addressed my previous concerns upon my last visit 03 months ago. Mr. Nasir, the manager, was exceptionally understanding and took the feedback seriously, resulting in a remarkable transformation not Only on food but on staff service as well.
The taste of the dishes has greatly improved, from the Crunchy Makki sushi to their special soups. This effort genuinely impressed me as to how sincerely they have turned around themselves( photos attached as evidence). The waitstaff were attentive and present-minded, promptly replacing complimentary food and prawn tempura upon request. Notably, the prawns were lighter and less oily compared to those at Yums, which was a delightful change.
Now safe to say ! I would highly recommend Bonsai, not only for its enhanced culinary offerings and great service but also for its competitive rates, which provide excellent value for a dining experience on par with top-end Pan-Asian restaurants...
