ATTENTION: This an update of my initial review 9 months ago.

I visited again yeaterday for dinner. It was an utter disappointment. Other than sushi, everything was pathetic. Red Lamb Curry stunk of mutron smell. Pad Thai had a very strong after taste of blood. Tori Gomayaki was so spicy and dried up that it may have been anything even other than chicken and no one could have guessed. Dishes were sent back but nothing changed except the time wasted. Manager was nice but the Chef made some excuses that no one could understand. I am more than happy to pay high prices, but then I expect my money's worth. That said, a substandard chocolate pastry was served for a 1000 PKR Chocolate Truffle Truffle Cake.

Very disappointed visit. We came back and ordered dinner again as what they served in Serena was inedible.

Initial Review: I am sorry to say that yesterday at dinner in Wild Rice was an absolute disaster.

Fish had smell in both sushi platters except for Salmon. Japanese chicken was dried, tough and shriveled. Red Lamb Curry was a BIG disappointment compared to pre covid time. It was more like a lamb dish in generic gravy. Pad Thai noodles was just inedible. The shrimp in it wasnt cleaned and I could taste sand/dirt in them. White rice were awfully dried and seemed like leftovers. Fish Crackers were served with a garlic Chilli sauce!!

What more can I say....just awful experience and embrassing as well as it was my...

We were welcomed by Faisal, very nice and energetic with smiling face who took good care of us throughout the dinner, we were served welcome drinks plus fish crackers that came with a tasty sweet sauce sauce, two persons and we ordered:

Wonton Soup 4/10 lacked taste and didn't meet expectations, avoid.

Duck Dumplings 8/10 very good

Prawn Tempura Maki Rolls 9/10 excellent taste and presentation

Seafood Trio Teppenyaki 9/10 very good taste and presentation

Red Curry Lamb 8/10 was definitely a 9 but half of the lamb meat pieces were chewy and tough. Our request for less spices was obliged.

Serena Lemonade 4/10 don't bother

Garlic, Egg fried rice 7/10 have had better

Ambience, courtesy and service is top notch, Manager Miss Nomi was very polite, checked on us and made sure it was all good. Will definitely...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wild Rice Restaurant, located in the Serena Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food quality was outstanding, offering a rich fusion of Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, and Chinese cuisines. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Highlights included the Tom Yum Goong soup, ikan bakar grilled fish, and kabo paneng beef each prepared to perfection with authentic Southeast Asian flair. The service was equally impressive. Staff members l were courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They ensured our comfort throughout the meal and added a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. Our meal on Saturday evening was OUTSTANDING! This was our third visit to Bayfield and our third meal at Wild Rice. The service from start to finish was excellent. Food from the cheese puffs served with our drinks on the patio to the dreamy meringue drops on my cheesecake were perfect. Food was presented well, extremely flavorful and hot. Can't wait until we have the opportunity to visit Bayfield again.
