"Count your Chicken pieces and verify that there are 2 pieces each of thigh, leg, chest and wings before the waiter leaves your counter."
I usually go to the main branch in Blue area, however I thought of trying out this branch located in PWD.
My family came for dining around 8.15pm today. Ordered 3 Burger deals and 1 full chicken broast. The person taking the order told us that it would take a lot of time around 40 odd minutes to prepare, to which we agreed.
The climax came when he arrived within 5-10 minutes and handed over our order. We were taken by surprise. The whole chicken broast was enclosed in a box, and I immediately took 1 leg piece and 1 thigh piece. The first mistake I made was I didn't count the total pieces, plus I also didn't tally the 2x each pieces of thigh, leg, chest and wings. After I ate the thigh piece my wife insisted that I pass her the box as she normally prefers a piece which has less bones and more meat. To my amazement I found 3x wings pieces inside the box along with other pieces. There were no chest pieces at all. I immediately called the person who took the order and told him the problem. I inquired how can a chicken have 3 wings and no chest pieces? I accept I didn't count the total pieces in front of him while handling him the box. The waiter took the pieces quietly and told us that he'll change. After a while he returned, although the pieces had been changed there were only 5 pieces left in the box, I counted in front of him. He told me that I had handed over him the same number of pieces. I immediately told him to count the number of chicken bones which we had placed on the table, and he counted only 2 main bones which we had eaten. I told him that I think a chicken is supposed to have 8 pieces in total to which he said yes, but where's 1 more piece. The waiter told me bluntly that I must have eaten. I smiled at him and said yes mate I was so hungry, I not only ate the chicken piece I also ate the bones. He was taken aback by my response and immediately started looking around the table for any trace of bones, obviously which he couldn't find as we had only eaten 2 pieces. He still kept insisting that I have eaten the extra piece to which I reluctantly agreed as I didn't want to create a mess in the family hall all around family members. I called upon the person for payment of bill and also requested that I'll be paying through card so please calculate the bill @5% gst. He was another arrogant guy and when he came back he also insisted that I've eaten the extra piece which is short and also calculated the bill @15%. I took the bill with him to the cashier counter to whom I sought whether the waiter had told him to calculate the bill as per cash payment or otherwise to which he gave a vague reply that we normally calculate the bill on cash terms, whereas I had already informed to calculate the bill on card terms. Needless to say he made an unwilling smile and recalculated and revised the bill.
While heading back near the exit of the family hall I met a rep of the management and told him the ordeal. He listened very carefully and inquired from the rest of the staff, including about the waiter who had served and all that had happened. I even challenged him to see what had happened though the CCTV footage, to which he didn't reply. Whilst I was leaving and exiting the main gate I'll admit he offered me a free chicken piece to which I gracefully declined. I simply told him three things:
The problem is not of a single chicken piece, it's a deliberate act of deceiving. Very unprofessional and incompetent. I'll be sharing all of this, Boycotting and publicizing on...

Read moreThe infamous savour Foods and one of the (if not the most favourite) most favourite restaurants of the people of twin cities have opened up a branch in Bahria Town Phase 7. They have ample parking space right in front of their building with guards helping out the customers in finding space and parking for their vehicles. A small counter is available on the road in case you want to give a takeaway order and take it from your car. The ground floor of the 3 storey building is the main counter area with order taking facilities and an ice-cream bar available in front with some comfortable sofas available for people waiting for the pickup. The first floor is a male/gents sitting area and the second floor is the family area with ample sitting space and tables. The signature chicken Pulao is just as you would expect from a Savour Foods branch and the prices are higher than what they used to be 3-4 years back, but still competitive compared to the market competition. We ordered Pina Colada and Mint margarita as well and were quite impressed with the taste and the presentation. Molten lava cake was also very delicious and cheap compared to the ones available in the Market. A must visit place and definitely recommend if you don't want to spend too much and don't mind if the place is too...
