Bem Ermii Burger & Fries — Restaurant in Babeldaob

Visited here two times during my stay. The Koror one has been closed since my last visit to Palau but I am glad to find out there is one still open in Airai. I highly recommend the mushroom Swiss burger. I do not recommend the regular cheeseburgers at all due to the ketchup being runny. It is really broken and runny and if you're a foodie, it tastes a lot like canned tomato sauce which completely takes away from the burger. I couldn't even finish my burger because it was not appetizing. I do want to thank the workers though for their patience when they had to redo my burger because of the long strand of hair in it. The fries are 4/5, milkshakes are 5/5, regular cheeseburger 2/5 (decent amount of food but taste is unappetizing, runny tomato sauce flavor and burnt burger), mushroom swiss 5/5 very good. The open times are super convenient for a late night burger and I recommend to stick to Swiss if you want a burger close to American style burger because the cheddar cheese is the kind that didn't want to melt. People compare it to Carl's, I heard that's what they're going for. The idea of quick, cheap food in Palau is certainly appealing. But I found a bug in my burger twice in a row, which was once more than I was willing to tolerate. Once in a while is acceptable, but I don't want to go into a meal where my food more likely than not to contain a crawling bug. To be fair, The bugs burgers were at the Koror location, but they serve the same food and presumably have the same practices and standards, and I haven't been able to disassociate the two enough to eat at the Airai location again, although I give it a higher review than the Koror one. What a hidden little gem! We ordered the cheese and bacon burger and were surprised at how tasty it was! So cheap and good too. Definitely have to give them a try! We are out of the back of the Ute watching...
