The defining characteristic of this restaurant is the frying pan that serves as the centerpiece of each table. There are Japanese and Korean restaurants of this type, and this one is Chinese.
This is basically hot pot without the soup to cook your food. Instead, you are using a heated frying pan. The food options we chose were dumplings, chicken, pork, potato slices, among others.
The best part were the unique flavors from the special powdered spice mix. There are four options served in metal cups - cumin, sesame mix, five spice and chili. I used them freely on my food.
The service was very good. I told the manager that I was too lazy to cook the food myself. So he spent the entire time doing all the cooking for my entire table.
My only complaint is that there is nothing really on the menu that stands out. these are basic ingredients without seasoning or marination. Topped with the aforementioned spices and the food is good, but nothing special. I guess the point of this place is for those who like to spend time with friends chatting and cooking.
