Had high hopes for La Taberna Del Canal after all the rave reviews. Our experience was a bit mixed, though. For starters, our daughter was accidentally skipped when it came to water and place settings – we had to ask for them. My slider order came out with cheese despite requesting them without, the beef burger missed its bacon, and the pulled pork slider was missing the star ingredient. We have been several times, not a lot else in this area for full service restaurants that are not in a strip mall. Great happy hour makes it very affordable, nice views depending on where you sit. Outside and inside seating. Good to great food, great menu with lots of variety, the foreign (Spanish?) waitress is awesome, rest are typical (Panamanian) service. I visited this restaurant today, both because of proximity to my hotel and reviews, and it was not a great experience. We are for lunch and the waiter was inattentive. Surprising given the inside was practically empty. My father ordered the Churrasco but found it inedible. It was mostly fat and a chore to cut through.
