This is our first visit, from the states, during our vacation, but it wonât be our last!
Upon arrival to the restaurant we were excited to see it was very upscale! The ambiance, the professional staff, and the table settings greatly enhanced our dining experience.
The special attention, by Chef Pascal himself, when my nut allergy was shared with him, was nothing short of amazing! Chef Paschal reviewed each menu item I ordered, with me, to ensure I would not have a reaction; even going the extra mile to research pine nuts to know it could be problematic for me, and thus he created a side dish especially for me! His concern and actions were highly impressive, and appreciated!
The drinks! The food! The sauces!! All were beyond Our expectations! We ordered a salad, fried cheese and clams for our appetizers. The sauce for the fried cheese was magic in my mouth! The contrasting flavors of the fruit sauce and peppercorns made my mouth sooo happy! I wish I could bottle that sauce up and take it home to Texas!
Our entrees were the fish special for the evening, escargot and the lobster medallions and fettuccine with pesto sauce. They were all prepared perfectly and melted in our mouth!
Finally, the cost and service. For the service, drinks, and food we enjoyed, we fully expected to pay handsomely for such a great experience. We were pleasantly surprised at the value! At their prices there is no reason everyone canât dress up and enjoy a wonderful night out on the town.
Spoil yourself by visiting Chef Pascalâs restaurant, it will be a treat you wonât ever forget, and hopefully will become a regular occurrence. We definitely plan to return at our next...
Read moreWe were really excited about this restaurant because there aren't many like it in this area. We ordered several things on the menu and they were OK to not good. They had their version of French onion soup which was not tasty at all. Tasted more like chicken noodle soup under a slice of white bread with cheese. The fried cheese had a mango/peppercorn sauce which the peppercorn flavor was so strong it was off-putting. The lamb chops were the best thing we had, they were cooked well and good flavor but they were double the price of everything else on the menu. The other two items the mussels with wine sauce and the steak in a mushroom sauce were ok. We had the mystery dessert which was a Ferrero Rocher chocolate, wrapped in vanilla ice cream, wrapped in another layer of chocolate and then nuts. It was very bland with bad quality ice cream. It tasted like something that was purchased from a grocery store that comes in a wrapper.
Overall, it was extremely underwhelming...
Read moreWe went here for lunch and the restaurant was almost fully booked which is a great sign. I ordered steak with fries and my wife had langostinos with salad.
The pricing is higher than in similar places in Panama city, but the quality is unfortunately much lower. The food is pretty boring and additionally my steak was undercooked but it's not a deal breaker because they cooked it better the second time.
The sauce wasn't a sauce at all (water with mushrooms inside) and the fries were oily. Parts of the salad were old (dark) which should have been removed in a place like this.
70$ for lunch was it not worth, because the chef didn't check the food which went to the tables.
Very disappointed, especially with a 4.8 star rating. Decoration of the place and of the plates from the 90s. +1 â because the chef apologized for...
