I have been here several times. While this is undoubtedly the best restaurant on the beach at La Barqueta, that's not saying much. They have the best beef I have found in Chiriqui. They raise the cattle right here, and they are high quality beef cattle, not the Brahmin breed that is easiest to raise here. You may dine al fresco or in one of the elegant dining rooms. Prices are high but not as high as one might expect. The artwork around the hotel is worth seeing. These appear to be hand-painted copies of famous Renaissance artworks and they are exquisite. Really good menu selection for food and drink, from breakfast through to lunch and dinner. The Chilean wine is particularly good. Nice service. It’s the only restaurant with indoor and outdoor space (helpful as the mosquitos, midges / biting sand flies abound especially at dusk in playa la Barqueta) with an extensive menu which also accepts card payment. There are only 2 other restaurants on this beach so we are thankful to have this convenient place to eat and drink when staying nearby Las Olas. Was here mid-week in off-season so we had any table we wanted and for both our evening after-meal drinks and the morning breakfast. Both times we selected a table outside, with great views of the garden space and the sound of the waves on the beach beyond. Their brownies were perfect, the ice cream tasted home-made.
