Every time we visit Pedasí, we find ourselves drawn back to The Black Pearl — for the food, for the hospitality, and for the sense of community that fills the place.

César and Cinthia, along with their two precious children, light up the restaurant with their warmth and genuine kindness. No one makes you feel more welcome. There’s an open-armed, heartfelt hospitality here that catches you off guard and melts your heart — like coming home after a long journey.

The food is absolutely exceptional. We always take their recommendations and are never disappointed. The fresh catch is consistently delicious and beautifully prepared, full of thoughtful detail and artistry. And the pisco sours — what a treat! Perfectly authentic, and such a delightful surprise to find in this small fishing village.

WOWOWOWOW! Wow.... WOW! What an experience. My mom took me and my girlfriend here for a day when visiting Playa Venao. I personally love love the food in venao, so eating away from there isn't normal for me when I'm in the area, but this has been one of my favorite restaurant experiences in years. The welcome into the space was great and we felt at home instantly, the dynamic of the the 2 owners, husband and wife coming out to attend to us bringing us things and taking our order was amazing. Peak family restaurant vibes but done so in an authentic and real way that was not overdone at all. We love The Black Pearl and go every time we visit the charming village of Pedasi! Why do we love it? Let's start with Cesar, the chef, who runs this restaurant along with his charming family. They truly care and go out of their way to be sure your experience is an excellent one - you feel their pride! The food is exceptional. The last time we ate their my husband had the tuna and I had the seabass. Both were not only delicious but presented beautifully. Be sure to order the Pisco Sour - national drink of Peru - it is excellent!
