The location is generally very beautiful, almost like a mirage on the Amazon River, with a pool and other nice features. You’re picked up by boat and taken to the restaurant, which is a pleasant experience. However, a few things should be noted:
• The service is typically Peruvian—completely overwhelmed, very slow, and lacking in attentiveness. • It takes an incredibly long time to be served, and even longer to receive your drinks. • If you arrive at 2 PM, like we did, there’s no fish left, meaning no ceviche, which is really frustrating. • There are crying children and babies in every corner, as apparently, it’s completely normal to bring newborns into the restaurant. • The tables wobble, and nobody seems to care. • Bring your own cutlery, because the knives are so dull, they’re practically useless. • The food is generally okay and passable, but don’t expect anything extraordinary from the kitchen.
In summary: The idea is great, but the execution is lacking. It’s always a bit half-hearted, like so many things in Peru, which is really a shame. As a Peruvian living in Europe, I have a different perspective on these things, and this was a...
Read moreFive star service in the middle of the Amazon. From New York, and did not expect it to be as good as it was.
the service was great. The waiter came over every few minutes to check up on us. the menu has a wide variety of drinks and foods. I took my tour guide and his assistant out to lunch. It was around 3 PM. It wasn’t too full, the music wasn’t too loud. We sat upstairs, which is fancier, you can always pick downstairs by the pool, which is more chill. everything was really clean, I even have a custom to check the bathroom for cleanliness before I eat at a restaurant , and it was spotless. If the bathroom is clean, the kitchen is probably clean too. Free transportation by boat.
if you want a really cool experience with five star level food in a great and unique environment, in the middle of an Amazon river! definitely try...
Read moreThis is a restaurant in the middle of the river. It has a swimming pool, two floors, different sections with chairs and benches and an amazing view. To get there, you need to take a motor boat which is sent by the restaurant to pick up customers. It only takes a couple of minutes to get to the restaurant and enjoy the view. Food is so much better now than 2 years ago. It has variety of options with regional and fresh ingredients. You also have more American options such as pasta or meat. We ordered ‘Doncella al Ajo’, ‘Combinado Regional’ ‘Doncella frito’, ‘Camu Camu juice’, ‘Brownie with Aguaje Icre Cream’ and Camu Camu cheescake. Flavor and texture were amazing. We had a good time there. I would suggest to improve service though. Waiter looked most of the time distracted by other duties and not putting too much attention to...
