Restaurante El Caracolito De Mar — Restaurant in District of Tumbes

We went here because we were following a guided tour routine. The only nice thing from this one was that the ceviche was pretty spicy as we are accustomed to, and the chifles were crunchy (the oil had a little odd flavor) and edible. The seafood sautéed rice (Arroz con Mariscos) was a little too mushy for my liking but the flavor was okay, I guess. The restrooms were a big NO-NO. Need to cleanse them more frequently. ASAP. It has nothing else to do there. We got "stranded" there for an hour. Any place gets boring when you don't have anything to do...

They cheated me. I ordered Ceviche de Mero and they served me a different type of fish. It was terrible. I didn’t eat it and they still made me pay for it. They take advantage of tourist.

Details: Mero is a very good ceviche but this was tasteless and chewy. I googled Mero and showed the server what it looks like and she admitted that her Mero looked different. She did nothing about it. Took my money.

More details: the price is 40 soles but she told me it’s very small and I should pay her 50 soles. This doesn’t even show...

La comida es buena, pero me parece muy caro ya que sirven muy poquito. Los platos de 25 a 50 soles y hasta mucho mas. El lugar muy campestre a orillas del mar, pero no cuenta con muy buena ubicacion y se demoran un siglooo en atender. Lo que si ahi mismo coges botes y te llevan a ver los manglares y el criadero de cocodrilos por algo de 7 soles c/u (en grupo) y en el mar te encuentras con jovenes que ofrecen tours en moto acuatica por 3 min aprox a 20 soles por persona.
