I checked in at 1pm and told the man at reception that my passport was in my suitcase as he asked for my I D and I gave him a copy. He knew I was meeting my friend as I used his phone and minutes after leaving they arranged for my door to be broken down and my suitcase locks torn off.. they robbed my passport, laptop bank docs cell phone because they thought a single white woman would make a good target.. as are all the victims of robberies in Huanchaco. TWO guests admitted to hearing knocking at my door and one checked out hours after the robbery after living there over a month.
