I'm not sure the name of this restaurant is still the same. But, this is where we stopped during our excursion. When we got here, the place was empty. However, soon after we were seated, the restaurant quickly filled up. I'm guessing this is where all excursions met for food and wine tasting. The service was prompt, especially for our party consisting of 13, very diverse people. We all placed our orders and had our food soon after. We had the Chicharron de Cerdo, Chicharron de Pollo, and the Fettucine with Lomo Saltado. All dishes came with salsa criollo, ricotto. Along with some French fries. The food was good and simply prepared, letting the product speak for itself. For me, the star of the meal was the Chicharron de Pollo! Each bite had so much flavor. The atmosphere was pretty laid back, even though it got pretty busy. The wine tasting consisted of 4 wines and 2 or 3 pisco varieties. Everything was pretty tasty. We saw the 4 areas used to make the wines and the process behind them (about 40 minutes) and then got taking to the main shop and tried about 16 shots of wine and pisco (obviously the highlight).
The guide taking the tour was extremely nice and very informative, however, the tour itself didn't seem particularly enthralling.
The whole experience was very well priced and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! The locals around also give you more free booze to try so we ended up being ridiculously drunk!

Read moreWhile the tour guide was enthusiastic and informative, overall this place was a dissapointment. We visited as part of a PeruHop trip, with the company describing it as a pisco vineyard tour and tasting (emphasizing lots of samples). The tour did not include a visit to the vineyard, and consisted of a brief explanation of the pressing, fermenting, and distillation processes. Worse still, the tasting did not include any pisco, and instead featured four tiny samples of overly sweet young wines and creme liquers. It felt like we had...
