ALPAMAYO CASA HOTEL - RESTAURANTE — Restaurant in Yungay

This is a brand new hotel with a very nice space however the prices are incredibly high for the lack of service received. Getting any type of service was almost impossible there. We asked for them to call us a taxi and they told us we would have to walk out of the hotel and walk up the street to the town center to get a taxi. We were charged tax on our rate at the hotel even though foreigners are not supposed to be taxed in Peru on accommodations. There was no electric tea pot to make hot water for tea in the rooms like other hotels we stayed in Huaraz for half the price. When we asked for some ice we were charged for it. Almost any time we asked the only staff member present at the bar for something he had to make a phone call to get the answer. We asked to do our laundry at the hotel and they said they could do it after we went back and forth with them for a while as if we were the first guests to ever ask about laundry and then kept asking how much it cost and they said we will give you a bill after instead of telling us beforehand. When we received our laundry cleaned they told us it would be 160 soles ($40 USD) for half a bag of laundry! I paid them 110 which was still outrageous. We have seen other hotels advertise laundry for 6 soles per kilos in the rooms. If they had just advertised their prices in the rooms like any other hotels do there would have been...

Un excelente lugar para pasarla en familia, tiene un extenso lugar, jardines hermosos, juegos recreativos para niños y adultos. En la comida ni que hablar recomiendo el plato de cuy picante a 60 soles, medio cuy a 30 y si comen mucho pues es suficiente para 2 personas, otro plato es la trucha que tiene diversos platos en presentación. También tienen diferentes espacios para poder comer muy interesante. Por último si no deseas algo tipico hay fideos, pollo y chancho. Para terminar puedes elegir helado o algún poste que desees....
