Saw this place from my friendās post and a lot of people doing prenuptial pictorials here. And since I love the idea of a farm house, I knew I have to visit it immediately! I promise you, you wouldnāt be disappointed. (Check our page for a video tour)
Aside from the wonderful garden/farm-feel ambiance, the whole place is great for Instagram peepz! Think of being transported back in time when there was still no electricity, and you would have to open all the doors and windows to let the breeze and light in. How I wish I lived in this era.
As you enter the vicinity, the air gets cooler because of the numerous trees and plants in their yard. On your right is a little fishpond with a wooden plank walkway to a house. It has a porch with a dining table for a couple of people and the yellow doors lead to the bedroom. A four poster bed stands in the middle and thereās a little balcony where a couple can also sit and dine in. One side of the room is a cupboard filled with vintage oil lamps and another is stacked with linen.
A few feet away from the bedroom house is another wooden cottage serving as a dining hall and library. A well accented wooden bar with Emerson lightbulbs hanging above gives off a warm cozy lighting. A long table is situated across it and can sit probably ten to twelve persons. One side of the wall is lined with books, vintage knick-knacks and the like. In the same room, a double door opens to their huge garden area where events can be held, such as a wedding party or debut.
Walking up further from this cottage, you can hang out in a little gazebo in the middle of the fishpond. Another couple dining spot where you can privately have a meal with your love one. Beside it is two story cottage. On the bottom floor is a spacious dining area with huge windows opening to a rice field. There are several purple tables and chairs here. On the second storey, you can reserve this for private small family celebrations.
Across from this cottage is an outdoor dining area with a few tables. And still up further is another cottage. The white wooden building houses tables good for at least four people in each and you have a view of the rice fields too. This house has country themed decor and is very homey!
Just outside is another outdoor dining area and a little tipi hut where you can chill. There are also floating ākubosā but I forgot to ask if they allow people to dine in them since they look a bit raggedy.
Now letās get to the food. We ordered a platter of their farm vegetables, and crispy pata. For two people it was more than enough! I would say itās good for four already. The price is just right. However, we dislikes the mango shakes. We ordered green and yellow mango shakes and they put in choco syrup which ruined the taste. We tried asking a replacement for one of the drinks (green mango) but they didnāt allow it and we ended up ordering another glass without the chocolate. For me that was bad service. They should have asked if we wanted our shakes with chocolate or without. Green mango and choco wasnāt a good match, in our opinion. And to not replace the drink is also not cool.
But, anyhow, overall, I would recommend the place! Definitely worth a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time in this place and huge disappointment. My mom's hosting it since she hasn't seen her best friends in ages and it was a terrible experience. Will not recommend at all. Here's why:
Ambience: The place is called Farm and I don't know why. I just saw few fish in the pond and that's pretty much it. The whole place is a bit old and beat-up which takes away from the overall ambience. It's also dusty and smelly. We were seated in a floating dining room and the pond's a little bit smelly(not pleasant when you're dining). No fan or a/c and had to ask for one. I'll give 2/5 stars for ambience.
Service: This one's the worst. We're a group of 6 and the server gave us a small pitcher of water. Didn't even bother to pour it for us. We tried ordering smoothies and he told us that they use powders for flavoring not real fruits. Uhmmm disgusting but thanks for being upfront. Also, a lot of items are not available on their menu. Food took so.ist an hour and when it got to us, it is cold already. To top that, they brought out our rice after 15 minutes and had to go inside and ask for it since our food is sitting there while waiting for our food. I'm giving 1/5 stars and even negative if it exist.
Food: Some of dishes were quiet tasty and were meh. The (not) Sizzling Pork Sisig came in warm and doesn't sizzle. There's a raw egg on top and it's almost scary to eat since we're not sure if the egg will be cooked or not. It is also borderline salty for my taste. Pulpog and Squid's pretty appetizing and tasted pretty good but it is not HOT. Crispy Hito is a meh. Just a cut up breaded fish with no flavors- also came in cold. The goat dish soup is warm and quiet tasty. I'm expecting a warmer temp tho. Also, the bowl they used looks like a dog bowl. And the most cringe-worthy, my mom's halo-halo. It came in literally melted. Why would you serve a melted halo-halo in the first place?? My favorite in here is the coffee. They use a French press coffee and the coffee's really good. I'm giving 2/5 because even though food is good, we didn't enjoy it since it came in cold and you can literally find a lot more restaurants with good food.
Another notable thing is when I went in to look for our rice, the probably owner (here's wearing a shirt, shorts and slippers) knew that I got upset for the cold food and if he really is the owner, he should've at least checked on us. And since he didn't and if he really is the owner, he should either close this place down or change his ways since he...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHidden in the center of lush green rice fileds, this quaint and rustic themed restaurant provides a variety of palatable dishes with fantastic views/setting to match. It has an area that's also perfect fpr wedding receptions, and photoshoots. The food prices are very reasonable and they taste better than your average food house in the same area. People usually come here for the unique atmosphere, situated amidat an unlikely location. When driving to the area, look out for the signage on the left side of the street when coming from Manila. You can't miss it since the location is specific in Google Maps. You'd have to enter a narrow road going to the restaurant, and pass by residential houses so you'll get the feel that you're just entering someone else's driveway. Street parking is available right outside...
