Inside Sumlang Lake is an authentic Filipino-Bicolano restaurant that offers a calm, serene and scenic view of the lake and Mt. Mayon. You have the option to stay indoor or enjoy the scenery of the outdoor tables. We loved the outdoor setting. The restaurant opens at 10am and by then they are ready to serve not only breakfast but the full menu as you wish to order. We arrived at 10:15Am and so we ordered lunch. The staffs are very accommodating and prompt in responding to the customer's needs . There are some recreational activities inside Sumlang Lake park that you can enjoy while waiting for your orders. We enjoyed taking photos especially with the backdrop of majestic Mayon. There is some kind of museum for handi crafts like abaca weaving, pili nut cracking, lake water activities etc. the area is so clean and fresh. There are plenty of parking lots. The food was served freshly cooked..came in around 30 minutes after ordering. The price is somewhat higher than the other restaurants of Daraga but it is expected. Serving of ala carte is good for 2-3 pax. The food tastes great and meets our expectations. They served cold fresh water for free. Overall experience is superb. Would recommend this place when you are in Daraga Albay. It is also noteworthy to mention that there is an entrance fee of 100 pesos per head in Sumlang lake but you can get a 50% discount of it when you order above 1000 pesos in the restaurant or cafe. They will deduct it automatically...
Read moreI came across this place looking around the app for a place to eat near Cagsawa. The raving scores and pictures attracted me to go. There's a non-consumable 100 per adult cover charge at the entrance plus a 20 peso parking fee. No biggie for a date but be sure to prepare if you're a bigger party.
I followed the minimally helpful parking sign to an open lot but looking at the other cars when I left, I suppose you can park literally everywhere.
Not much to see but a few touristy signs and the typical tourist trap of a souvenir store
Avoid the restaurant like a plague if you ask me. You'll be better served and welcomed as Filipinos elsewhere. But if english speaking and overpriced yet underwhelming food is right up your alley, then this is the place to be.
Never bothered taking pictures of the food but I've seen better plating at SM food courts. We ordered Crispy Bicol Express, Kinilaw na Tanigue, Crab Relleno, Chicharong Bulaklak , and a Platter of Rice for about 2.2k PHP.
Observe the food left by people and their demeanor as they leave this place and tell...
Read moreWe went to Sumlang Lake on a saturday afternoon. (Around 3pm) before you enter there will be an environmental fee of 200 pesos, including 10 pesos motorcycle parking fee. When we got to the restaurant approached one of the staff and asked how to order. The staff then answered “madami pa po kasing pending pending” which we didn’t understand. We asked for a specific time where in we could be accommodated but then they said that they cannot say. There were still a few tables that were vacant but they still did not accommodate us. We don't know what their protocol is during the weekend but I hope they were able to explain it properly to the guests.
When going to Socorro, ensure that the place is still accepting customers so that your environmental / entrance and parking fee would not go to waste as it is the only restaurant in...
