Interesting destination for families wanting Al fresco dining with a garden and some activities. Big come on for us? Pet-friendly :-)
Parking is free but the parking area is unleveled and filled only with gravel. Some cars struggled with tires stuck in the dirt but managed to drive away and transfer to a better spot.
The place is still off the radar so expect to walk-in without much problem.
Safety protocols in place and guests will be asked to write their info in their log book and have their temperatures taken. There will be fish food sold at P10/pack and be sure to buy some to keep you pleasantly entertained feeding the fishes while waiting for your food to be ready.
If you are particular with fast service, dine at the hall where all the servers are. We chose to be seated at the Al fresco area since we had our pet with us and had to go to the dining hall several times and ask the staff to attend to us. They were nice, professional, and courteous -- even graciously granting our request for a birthday greeting on the strawberry cheesecake.
The plates and utensils were sent to our table individually cling-wrapped for hygiene. I don't know what the deal is with the plastic cups they had us use that kept toppling over unless you fill it with water 😆.
Everything we ordered were flavorful and reasonably priced. We had whole chicken 👍, thai-style deep fried fish with tamarind sauce 👍, crispy sisig 👍👍👍, 2 platters of rice, chocolate strawberry mousse 👍, 🍓 cheesecake 😍, 2 🍓 milkshakes (too sweet to our liking 👎), and 1 buko milkshake 👍. Our family of five were filled with even some leftovers for take-out. These orders cost us some P2800+. Not bad at all.
The place has interesting spots suitable for taking nice photos and I love how the places some labels on the plants -- very...
Read moreI could have given maybe three or four stars but it's understandable given that they're still on a soft opening phase. We almost got lost as the place was incorrectly pinned on Waze (we could have followed Google Maps at first).
The food is delicious (we had a 2pm lunch) as we ordered their crispy pork sisig (probably the best-tasting and the meatiest compared to Gerry's, Giligans and Dencio's and even the ones within Tagaytay), pork belly lechon and some rice and their signature strawberry shake. But the thing is, the prices are outrageous! Even for the Kapeng Barako!
And also, paisa-isa pa ang serving ng mga food. Parang hinintay muna nilang ubusin namin ang isang ulam bago nila i-serve ang isa pang ulam. Diyos ko poooo!
As for their strawberry shake, it was served on a plastic to-go cup wherein we're dining-in. Parang ayaw nilang maghugas ng pinagkainan at pinag-inuman. Unless you're told that it's for to-go or take-out only you will serve them on to-go packaging/cups.
Aside from the food, Queens also showcases a family and barkada-friendly ambiance, which is, of course, part of what you're paying for (read: experience). But as what I've said, it's still on soft-opening. Nothing out of ordinary and nothing extravagant. Not that I sound demanding but there could have been more aside from the food but there's none.
Anyway it's a good thing because it gives people more choices as Tagaytay keeps on attracting more and more people and that there are more restaurants and food places in the surrounding areas and towns.
Sa madaling sabi, mukhang hindi tapos ng Hotel And Restaurant Management ang nagtayo ng negosyong ito. May pera lang, pero hindi inaral. May mas magaganda pang makakainan at...
Read moreWent with a friend to Queens Strawberry Farm on June 19, 2022. We decided to have lunch here before heading back to Metro Manila.
We arrived at around 12:30pm and had to wait almost 2 hours in total: More than 1 hour of waiting to get a table at the restaurant. Approximately 30 minutes of waiting for our food to be served after ordering.
The restaurant only had very few items on its menu, so there wasn't really a ton of food to choose from. Me and my friend ordered Kare-kare, Sisig, and a platter of garlic rice.
All the food was bland. If you only have very few main courses on your menu, the least you can do is to make those dishes as good as possible. But no, none of our food was good. We were not even served bagoong. When we asked for bagoong, they said "ubos na". What kind of place serves kare-kare as one of its main courses but doesn't have a steady supply of bagoong?
Trust me when I say that this place isn't worth it. The food is expensive and not worth it for its price, its quality, and the fact that we had to wait almost two hours for it. What a lousy experience.
If you want good Filipino, there are a ton of better, more affordable places to eat in Tagaytay. For Filipino food like Bulalo, Sisig, and Kare-kare, you can try places like Bulalo Point. They're much more affordable than Queens Farm, and their food is also much better.
I regret coming here. What a lousy way to end my...
