One enters the place and is immediately greeted by the posh interiors. We were warned that the place was pricey but were not told that it would take our breath away. It is enormous yet warm and cozy. Even the restroom is inviting.
The name DOMUS invokes Italian images. The food items on the menu though are more Filipino and fusion and then a bit European. The main dining hall gives the impression of dining by the ruins of probably Pompeii. But the lighting is definitely modern. The setup is fine dining. High back chairs, goblets, soft classical music, etc.
For someone visiting the area, this was a treat to my senses. After feasting with my eyes, I wandered to the second floor which is their area for bar and live band music for evenings. The decor and ambiance are consistent here with the bar itself, nicely laid out. They have areas for al fresco dining and roof deck dining. There are many possibilities for entertaining exclusively by sectioning off areas.
They make their own bread which can be viewed from the main hall. However, the scent of freshly baked bread cannot be smelled from the hall. I wonder if that is a lost opportunity or not. I would've welcomed such scent but it would probably not go well with the overall ambiance.
Anyway, what about the food? We ordered Domus roasted chicken (presentation and taste are good); oriental spring roll salad (delicious); and pasta diavolo (this one they could improve on a lot. The noodles weren't al dente and the seafood didn't seem fresh; taste is ok). Nothing stood out for me in terms of taste and presentation, but my curiosity has been perked enough to want to come back and try other items like their sandwiches (since they make their own bread) and other entrees.
The place had been operational for only 9 months. Service was good and attentive. Staff were friendly. But we came at 11am on a Sunday. We didn't really catch the Sunday crowd. Come here for dates and special occasions. DOMUS seems...

Visited the Philippines recently and had the chance to dine at Domus Restaurant in Amadeo, Cavite. The place truly exceeded my expectations!
The ambiance is warm, clean, and Insta-worthy — you can really tell that the owner put a lot of thought into the décor. The service was amazing — friendly, quick, and attentive.
But the highlight for me was definitely the food. I’d say this is one of the best takes on Filipino cuisine with a modern twist.
We ordered:
Crispy Pata Kare-Kare – The sauce was rich and clearly made from real peanuts, not just peanut butter. The meat was flavourful and tender.
Chicken Inasal – Cooked perfectly, juicy inside and well-balanced with the condiments: atsara, pickled onions, and bagoong rice.
Salmon with Mashed Potato – The salmon was cooked just the way I like it — medium, which really brought out the natural taste of the fish. The mashed potatoes were silky and full of flavour.
Steak – My personal favourite! I love steak but often find it overcooked in some places. Here, I asked for medium, and it came out perfectly tender, juicy, and beautifully plated. The sauce complemented it perfectly.
I even passed my compliments to the chef, and he came out to greet us personally — such a kind and humble person!
Overall, I’d rate Domus Restaurant a solid 10/10 for its food, service, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back on my next visit to the Philippines and will recommend it to all my...
Read moreCame here for lunch on Father's Day. I just passed by a review who had a similar experience at the same time and day.
The restaurant was very unorganized and almost not prepared for the holiday/amount of people going to visit this restaurant.
Food was still good, even with mishaps. One of us ordered the Penne Caldereta— it was unevenly half cooked not even al dente, and some of the pasta were still uncooked.
We ordered Crispy Pata Kaldereta, the server realized he brought the wrong sauce, so he just mentioned that he'll come back. We waited for 23 minutes and nothing came back. As the rest of us were almost done with the other dishes we ordered, we tried calling, raising our hands, waving to the staff to get their attention– some hesitated to come as they were looking at us so confused. We asked if the sauce for kare-kare was coming, as the server didn't come back and communicated how long will it take. After calling the server, he at the same time rushed back to get the sauce and told us the kitchen needed to cook a new one, which he didn't tell us earlier.
We expressed this concern to another server who was cleaning up our dishes and serving our hot drinks, hoping he would reach out to their supervisor. Hoping the restaurant's preparation for future holidays or meal rush times and communication...
