Hey BLK6! Great cakes and coffee! Thanks for such a nice cafe experience. This will actually be my first review.. EVER anddddd I just couldn't help but tell how nice the staff people are, I bet those two serving guys were the owner.
Great customer service should be a top priority and I wanna give them 5 STARS for going over and beyond making me feel like a VIP customer. I know I was in luck as there werent' too many people early afteroon in such a cafe so I could get the best attention they have.
And BTW, the "Impossible Cake" was really incredible. I like how they made such a trademark of their own that carries one of the most familiar desserts to Filipinos, the Leche Flan. Now the cake has a chocolate base and seemingly layered on top by a flan. I'd say they have perfected their craft on making it sweet and amazingly savoury in traces. YES! cakes can be perfectly sweet and savoury at the same time! And maybe, hence the "Impossible!" name.
The coffee never failed me. In a gloomy weather, I guess I went to the perfect street block. BLK6 should be one of my places-to-return-to. Their house white coffee is perfect and I guess I wouldn't be able to copy that just mixing in to my usual black coffee whatever cream I could get my hands on. Coffee are naturally acidic but I just couldnt find a way to understand how they could turn it into something prominent in smell and create an amazing rustic feel on your drink! SOOOOO AWESOME!
I will def go back! Thank you BLK6. Here's a...
Read moreWhen I was in college, I would always pass by and have a slice of their Dulce de Leche Cheesecake whenever I feel down or if I just want to eat cake. And on top of that, my friends always find ourselves enjoying a cup of coffee and sharing good stories since the place is really cozy and the cakes are great.
In my most recent visit, we tried their two new offerings in the Mississippi Mudpie and the Salted Egg Cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but I don't see myself eating a second slice of it in one sitting. On the other hand, the mudpie just made its way into my Top 5 Cake Slices that you should try in Bacolod! It...
Read moreNice, cozy place. Could accommodate 10 people max on a normal setting, but due to the pandemic, this might be limited. The lights were warm and goes well with the vibe of the cafe.
I ordered their dulce de leche cheesecake and it was superb! Not too sweet and not too lacking in flavor—maybe just the right amount. Also tried their coffee, not really the best, but it's good. On top of that, the prices here are very affordable! Hoping to try more of their cakes and other...
