First of all the service is terrible, although they have good food the service for me drag you to 2 stars, because of the food i give you another star. Lets talk about the food, its great, it has an appatizing presentation, at least the ones we ate. The taste is great especially the pata the crabs are very . The ambiance is ok a bit dim though. They have wifi, a viewing deck for the ocean. And outdoor dining experience and a playground for your hyper children. Ok now to the service, let me tell you about our expirience, prior to this we found this restaurant great, and affordable but now i doubt. First we had to wait for our food. It came they gave it to us then after a while they came and took away our food saying that its not ours, we almost ate it, i wonder if we ate that food would we have to pay for that although it the restaurants fault? But we ignored the thought because it didnt happen but just the thought thou. Next this time we frankly asked the lady in charge if even the soup isn't ours and guess what? It wasnt ours too! Such a bad night. Ok now our food arrived, its different from what we ordered! Now i'm pissed. We talked to the management they finally said the missing dishes in our food plate is because they ran out of the ingredients so they changed it to as they wished without even consulting their costumers about it. Is this a restaurant or just some cheap kalenderiahan? Kinda sad we loved the place but with waiters that feels like they drunk before their shift or very cofused to what they need to do and management that feels like they dont even know their restaurants food and chefs that actaully changed the menu to their own liking and management again that would allow this to happen. This has ruined our night and had made me sad because we liked the restaurant prior to this event. I'm not sure if this is a restaurant even. Is this right or they just cheated us our money? Well this is according to my experience here, we have different experiences. I wonder were you also subjected to a wost service in this place? Also side note their reserved seats dosnt even have a reserved sign they just make people leave the place they have reserved for someone else. I now really have a negative impression...

Review: Palawud – Where Bacolod’s Shoreline Meets Flavor and Festivity

Palawud Resto Grill and Bar in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod offers more than just a meal—it’s a full sensory experience that blends seaside serenity with lively Filipino hospitality. With its open-air setup and unobstructed ocean views, Palawud is a favorite for sunset dinners, family gatherings, and weekend hangouts. The ambiance is relaxed yet festive, often featuring live acoustic bands and fire dancers that elevate the coastal vibe into something truly memorable.

The menu leans heavily into grilled seafood and Filipino classics. Dishes like grilled prawns, clam soup, and chicharon bulaklak are crowd-pleasers, especially when served in their signature boodle-style feasts—perfect for sharing. While the food isn’t overly fancy, it’s flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions at reasonable prices. Their cold beer and fruit shakes pair well with the salty breeze and laid-back atmosphere.

Service is generally warm and efficient, with staff often praised for their friendliness and attentiveness. The restaurant also includes a small play area for kids, making it a family-friendly spot. Though some furnishings and facilities could use a refresh, the overall experience remains enjoyable.

Palawud isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to unwind, celebrate, and savor Bacolod’s...

Our Bacolod friends invited us to dine at Palawud, and they told us na masarap daw talaga ang food dito — and to our surprise, hindi kami na-disappoint! The food was indeed delicious, especially the seafood dishes. Fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned — sulit talaga if you love seafood! 🦐🐟 The place itself has that relaxed seaside vibe, perfect for casual dining with friends or family. The staff were also friendly and attentive, so okay din yung service overall. Medyo na-off lang ako ng konti kasi the area is literally beside the sea, and you can see some trash or debris along the shore — sayang, kasi it takes away a bit from the otherwise nice view. Hopefully, they can maintain the surroundings better since the ambiance would be perfect if malinis lahat. Still, I’d definitely recommend Palawud Bacolod if you’re visiting the city. Great seafood, good service, and a chill spot to enjoy local dishes by the sea. 🌊✨

The restaurant is well situated at the sea shore. It's ideal to eat there for dinner as the view on sunset is really nice and very romantic. The tables outside are a must if the weather is good. The upstairs terrace covered looks really nice and adapted to groups. Distance between tables respects your privacy. Regarding the meals, the quality is just acceptable and would need to be improved. One example is the ceviche that has nothing to do with the original recipe from Peru: the fish is not sliced thin enough, ginger is not welcome, it doesn't have enough taste of lemon, minced ingredients have not their place in this dish. Service is sympathetic but slow, you might have to ask several times your order to obtain it. The choice of drinks is not very wide. Prices are quite reasonable.
