MUST VISIT, Amazing food... I've been looking forward to this for quite some time. I made Pho back in Ohio and it is truly a "labor of love" as to make it good takes quite a bit of time & more spices that I had in my cupboard (I was a chef so that's saying a lot). Let's start with the Pho... the broth is the nectar of the Gods, I could just drink that with nothing else. Meat was tender and had a lot of flavor. I'm a noodle guy so I ordered double noodles and was so happy. The portion is HUGE, but you will be happy you have some to take home (I also got extra noodles to take home). I could go on and on about the Pho but there was so much more.

The fried rice (we ordered the medium & next time I want the large just to see the size) so much rice, but I couldn't stop eating it. My sweet Filipina was even quickly addicted to the rice, she said over and over how she could not stop eating. I also ate about 3x more rice than I normally eat so that also says a lot about this rice. Again... rice to take home so much & it was a medium.

Now the pork/corn combo thing (sorry I forgot the name) but find it, get it and get more to take home (it goes great with the rice the next day). Again, not a huge portion (this I wanted more of) but it was so delicious that every speck was eaten. Like I said, an extra one to go home with us was necessary as it was so good and I wanted to stir it in with the rice.

The braised beef was so good (a bit sweet for me) and it went so well with the rice. I just kept eating it with the rice. (don't forget I had that HUGE bowl of Pho w/extra noodles but kept eating all the other stuff).

In conclusion, they are a little out of the way, not on a main road, parking lot is sort of cramped but no matter GO THERE. This is a must if you are here in Bacolod you need to stop here. If you live here in Bacolod and have not been here yet... you are missing a GREAT meal, with smiling faces as servers. I can't really say much more other than I can't wait to go back... I want to try the chicken and a few other dishes, of course a bowl of Pho to go home with extra extra noodles, maybe some rice, and that pork stuff... oh my this...

Good Food, Disappointing Service

We recently dined at rau ram yesterday night and while the food was undeniably delicious, the overall experience was marred by poor service and disorganization.

The dishes we were able to try were well-prepared and flavorful, showcasing the kitchen’s skill. However, the service was frustratingly slow and inefficient. We had to cancel two dishes after waiting for over an hour and a half with no update from the staff. Despite politely requesting rice twice from different servers, it still had not arrived even after 20 minutes, forcing me to go to the counter myself to get it.

Additionally, the restaurant was hot and humid, which would have been manageable had the service been more efficient. Unfortunately, the lack of organization made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. After waiting for nearly two hours for incomplete food, we left the restaurant still hungry.

While the food quality is commendable, the poor service overshadowed what could have been a great dining experience. I hope the management takes steps to improve service efficiency and staff attentiveness because, with better service, this place has the potential to be truly enjoyable.

Would I return? Only if the...

Went here for lunch on a Monday. Not too busy then. Very good decor, interesting pieces and the whole vibe is good.

Pros there's no AC room so if it's an extra hot day, just know that. They do have many fans so it helps a little. But be prepared to sweat the staff is very attentive the CR and hand washing areas are clean and they do have toilet paper in the CR there's free parking but limited space food portion is good size and lots of options

Cons the pho broth is a little to dark in colour and was quite salty. We had to add more water using the water we had on the table most of the food we hhad were on the saltier side the noodles were a bit overcooked and not enough in the soup. We had to order an extra side dish of noodles. if you order the pomelo salad, make sure that you get the dressing on the side

You have to come here and see for yourself but...

August 24,2025 Cha Gio - vietnamese fried egg rolls 265php ~ ground pork, mouse ear mushroom, carrots, angel hair noodles 8/10 Heo Quay Belly - roasted pork belly 453php ~ crunchy and tender 9/10 *highly recommended* Canh Ga Rang Me - Tamarind Chicken Wings 313php ~ it was served cold and the chicken tastes weird, it’s supposed to taste tamarind, right? But it’s not. 2/10 Pho Overload ~ 4/10 worst Pho i ever tasted. They threw in some beef bones, beef skins and pork fat and mix it with the broth. Vietnamese Iced Coffee 133php ~ 7/10 it comes with a glass of ice, they served the coffee and condensed milk separately. ** service slow ** restroom’s dark but clean ** many flies, they put a candle for them to go away but the fan is blowing at it. Expect a lot of flies when the food is served. ** no ac, al fresco dine in ** wash area : well ventilated, with hand liquid soap
