Lolo's Place Restaurant — Restaurant in Batangas City

Great tasting food overshadowed by undertrained staff, no attention is given to diners with staff just standing around talking to each other instead of monitoring if diners need a water refill or atlease asking how their food was going. I ordered a steak and I had to ask for a steak knife when the only cutlery on the table was a fork and spoon. Ordered a drink and it was delivered in a can with no glass or ice or even a straw, they might as well handed me the can.

The food on the other hand is not too bad but it has to match the price they ask for. I ordered a steak I was told it was good for 5 since they're charging 1500 for it i asked how big or what the weight was. It was roughly 6mm thick and weight under 300g when their old menu had a 250g steak for 750. They claim the steak is imported but I doubt it. I don't recommend you order a steak if you're used to steak overseas since the steak they served is a 2min steak it's so thin.

The place is amazing at night the metal seats atlease needs outdoor pads for bony bottoms.

Update: Went here again, same experience but atlese one staff stood out from the rest being very pleasant and attentive. The young woman adds allot of value to the restaurant which is sadly...

The hotel I was staying in didn't offer any evening meals so I did a search of the area and came up with Lolo's. Whilst its tucked away slightly, the lights of the property at night make it a very welcoming site.

The parking area is quite dark but right in front of the restaurant. You might want to use a torch when walking back to your vehicle as the ground is a bit uneven.

The restaurant set up is big and they cater for weddings and events in one section of the property. I sat in a small, cozy room on some comfortable chairs. The ambience is almost homely.

The menu is reasonably extensive in terms of choices and the food they produce is very tasty. We had a misunderstanding when I changed my mind on my initial choice and both dishes turned up. The staff were perfectly fine and simply took away the incorrect dish and didn't charge me.

Good price for what I had and would happily come back when next...

I had an amazing experience!!! We had so much fun. The food was so great and the ambiance... All the staffs were so friendly most especially Laurence, the manager. He exceeded my expectations. He delivered an amazing customer service! He gave us a very positive attitude and willingness to go extra mile from the start until the end. Thank you so much.
