Tree House Restaurant — Restaurant in Batangas City

We used to frequent this restaurant when visiting / living with relatives near Batangas City many many years ago. We would come here for the ceviche (kilawin tanigue) and their various fish sinigang dishes.

It’s nice that they’ve managed to maintain the food quality. They’ve also expanded the restaurant converted it into function room/resto.

You might find the food quite pricey for its carinderia-style & atmosphere, but serving is good for 2-3 persons.

It’s nice to be back and and of course having their kilawin brought back memories of dining with dear relatives. Oh how we’ve missed it!

This time, they offered a new dish Ginataang Igat (eel) and its really tasty though as expected, the fish was extra matinik. Eel naturally are bony & you gotta be patient 🤣 sort of made me regret & hoped we just went for the usual fish sinigang that we would order way back.

We also ordered tortang talong and we really enjoyed it, we even ordered extra to go lol.

Overall we liked going back here after so many years & knowing it will take a while before we could eat here again.

It’s worth trying if you’re looking for good comfort home-cooked meal.👌
