Dined on a holiday (Tue) and we were the only customer at around 1:30pm. The resto has limited parking in front of the resto (max of 4). They also have a separate parking beside the resto which can accommodate 10 more vehicles.
We dined for a second time on a Sunday 530pm and the place is almost packed. We were lucky that one group was already billing out.
Food we ordered on our first visit and our review (based on our taste buds): Inihaw na Liempo (w/ Ensaldang Talong) - 5 of 5 Monggo Guisado with Shrimp and Pork - 5 of 5 Kinulob na itik - 4 of 5
(Food we ordered on our second visit and our review) Pork Sisig Solo meal - 4 of 5 Bulalo - 4 of 5 Chicken Inasal with yellow rice - 4 of 5
Place: The resto has a good garden ambiance. Just be ready for some insects so its better to wear pants when visiting the place. This is expected with all the plants all over the place. Their good choice of music was completing to their vibe. Their wash room though needs some upkeep.
Value for money: 4 of 5
Overall: 5. Good ambiance, attentive and friendly staff (shoutout to Elle Larubi for engaging us patiently). They even offered "Off lotion" during our first visit to fend mosquitos. Food was above average and affordable as well. Worth the visit if you are craving Filipino home made and...
Read moreOk I am giving this a solid 5 stars for the sake of the CATS lol I am amused by their cute and healthy looking felines. Well what really led us here even though there were a lot of other cafes and restaurants along the road was sheer coincidence (or maybe it were the lucky cats after all).
This place, the decors, aesthetic, lighting, makes the drive worth it. I was initially confused if this was like a bazaar type, different merchants, since there was the main resto, then juices in front, then the coffees, then pasalubong, then sneaker shop at the side! Friendly staff. Garden type with hut or regular tables option. The cutlery - golden spoon and fork. With WiFi access and ample parking.
Silly me thought that goto batangas was like a porridge (with rice) lol no it was soup with lamang loob. We also ordered rice toppings (took a while to be served as there were other customers). Honestly we found the prices a bit high, but the homey ambiance makes it reasonable. I really wanted to try the bibingka on display as it looked yummy, unfortunately, they can't serve it as it was old and they would need to make a new batch. We had the biko and puto bumbong na lang. Just renovate the handwash / restroom so it will look...
Read moreReview dated May 8 2022. Happened to have lunch at this very interesting place. It's sprawling occupying adjoining lots. Open air. No theme that's why you find different sets of tables and chairs scattered about in strategic places. Decor is rustic wit what suits the taste of the owner. Think chokolate de batirol in baguio but this one is in calamba. Dishes are very varied. On that Mothers Day they were cooking a large container of paella costing 300 an order and there was a small lechon by the entrance. The place was almost full but the place had lots of parking. There was a sax player that day. The waiters were fast and attentive but it takes time for your food to arrive after you have ordered it. There was a pasalubong corner as well from which I ordered their biko. The toilet was adequate. Wash area is to the outside of it. All in all a good place to go where you can have a good meal and dine in a relaxed atmosphere even if there are a lot of customers eating and...
