Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Calamba

Food was served cold. Who wants to eat cold pizza?

We ordered family deal 3 worth Php1998 but the crew deceived us to get another pizza and 2 fries worth Php78. To my suprise, we happily agreed. At the back of my mind, that deal was too good to be true so after our food was served I asked again. He smiled and confirmed that we will only add Php78 for the additional pizza and 2 fries.

Returning to our table from the restroom I catched my husband filling out the shakeys supercard form. He was told it's free.

Here comes the catch. Ater getting our receipt I noticed that the Php 78 worth of pizza was from the birthday pizza (supposed to be free) and the crew changed my husband's birthday from March to September. We were charged Php998 for the Shakeys Supercard!!!!

Because we're stuffed, we had 3 left over chicken, 1 pan of pizza and spaghetti. I asked to wrap it up for take home. For some reasons, I had the luxury of time to check my take outs.

Here's the funny part, out of 3 left over untouched fried chicken I found only 2!!!! I was so sure that we had 3 left coz my husband didn't even eat chicken (was it wrong that I counted the bones of the chicken we consumed? 😅). I approached the manager. He just shrugged and said he'll get another piece. Another crew approached me and gave me another saying sorry.

Guys if it's too good to be true it is certain that someone somehow is behind it tricking/deceiving you to make/hit their quota of selling shakeys supercard. And ahhh yes check your takeouts. How could someone miss packing/wrapping 1 piece of the leftover...

We recently dined in on this place and it was a life changing experience! The food is nice and will serve to you hot woth an aromatic smell of herbs a d spices but what makes the highlight of this review is the quality of service of their staff specially the employye named Nick Porras. He’s part of the kitchen crew but he also checks the customers feedback during their operation. During our stay we found out that there’s a frog on our pizza (we don’t know where it came from but I think it’s from our friend since he’s not taking a bath yet) but immediately he replaced it with new one. He even apologized for that incident and gave us 1.5 liter of coke as courtesy. He also helped the other customers like the blind man to speak about his orders and the crippled guy to check what’s on the menu. That day is one of our friend’s birthday and we know shakeys don’t have mascot like in Jollibee but he managed to offer himself to be one just to satisfy our stay. He even helped the traffic enforcer outside when there’s a bunch of motorcycles not following the traffic rules. It was a superb experience during our stay because of him not to mention it’s his restday and he said he was still doing his job just for fun....

Dined here for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait. They'll immediately direct you to your seat and you'll really feel their hospitality. I would know coz I was from the food industry as well. It's a good place to have a family eat-out and even dates with friends. The service is amazing. They're very attentive to your needs and the crew that served me that day were very professional. I highly recommend the Spinach series pizza and order the hand-tossed. If sawa ka na sa Angel's spinach pizza, you need to try Shakey's Spinach Series. One of my other usuals here is the Tuna Caesar Salad. I just love the combination of the tuna chunks, dressing, greens, and croutons. Overall great experience dining in this...
