The food was delicious here with the atmosphere being unique and great.
When you enter it's like a canteen where the food is prepared and you tell them what food you want and pay at the end. There were a lot of food choices so we didn't get to try everything.
The price was good in my opinion. The rice cost 25 pesos but a lot of rice is given. An order of lechon kawali is P500 but it can serve 2-4 people. Laing with meat inside was around P160-P170. A whole itik is P400 (though it didn't have much meat, but you can pour the sauce on the rice)
The taste was great. The rice was soft and fit with the rest of the food. The Itik was cooked in a adobo-like sweet sauce and the meat was not tough or dry. The lechon kawali was juicy and crispy so it was great to eat. The laing was also very flavorful, perfect with the rice. The squid didn't have much taste so you need to dip it in the sauce given.
For the atmosphere, it is a cute restaurant with a lot of vintage decor and the design is unique. You can also eat on a table with a view of the fields and mountains in the background. It is a nice place to pass the time in and relax if you...
Read moreThis is like a glorified carinderia, the "turo-turo" type, but better. The serving is enough I guess for one order. I love that they have a variety of food choices. It's almost difficult to choose what you want. If you're hungry, you almost want to order everything you see because they all look good. Food taste is not extraordinary though. I think they taste just fine to satisfy your hunger and craving. But they do offer fresh fruit juices. I ordered a pitcher of lemon cucumber. It was a refreshing beverage and it's freshly squeezed. They have Filipino merienda food choices too, like guinataang halo-halo, minatamis na langka, and lots of other Filipino delicacies and kakanin. They have toilets inside. The parking space is not enough though considering the number of visitors waiting to be seated. Over-all, it's a good stop-over for...
Read moreThe ambiance in Iskargu is quiet nice. If you are looking for something so Filipino then you must try iskargu because their dishes are very authentic and the preparation is very nice. the setting as well is very provincial and native to which you have banana leaf as your plate cover. they have variety of food that is really drooling like. I always get what I expect whenever I eat in this restaurant. They have parking space that is just at the side of the road. Their desserts are also very special and can be packed for some take away. I just noticed that there's no one guiding the people going out of the restaurant from the parking area which is very dangerous. moreover, everything is well. :) Thank...
